In Until Dawn, all of the characters will be faced with tough decisions that can keep them alive or lead to their doom. Additionally, a character can be stuck in a tough situation that requires quick thinking to leave unscathed.

While age doesn’t play a huge part in the characters’ choices, since players are responsible for decision-making, it explains the protagonists’ behavior and way of thinking in uncontrollable situations. How Old Are The Characters In Until Dawn? – All Characters Age

There are 10 main characters in total, and you can control seven of them throughout Until Dawn. The characters are Sam, Mike, Jessica, Emily, Matt, Ashley, Chris, Josh, Hannah, and Beth. Not all of them are the same age, as some are older than others by months or years.

Starting from the youngest, Ashley, Matt, and Jessica are 18 years old. Sam, Mike, Emily, and Chris are 19 years old. And finally, the oldest is Josh, who is 20 years old. However, since Josh and Chris are childhood friends from elementary days, it is speculated that Josh is older than Chris by a few months instead of a year. These are the characters’ ages when the main game starts in 2015.

The prologue takes place in 2014 and at that time the twins, Hannah and Beth, were 18 years old. Obviously, the rest of the characters are one year younger, making their ages range from 17 to 19 years old.

While you can’t change their ages, you control their actions and affect their personalities in Until Dawn. At the start of the game, the characters are introduced to the players with three traits that describe them.
