Latias is a Legendary Pokemon introduced in Gen 3 –here’s where to find the Dragon/Psychic-type in The Indigo Disk DLC.

Latias is part of a duo of Legendary Pokemon introduced in the Hoenn region of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Latias and Latios are known as the Eon Duo and are both Dragon/Psychic types. This guide will show players where and how to catch Latias in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s The Indigo Disk DLC.

Latias was only available to catch in Pokemon Sapphire as a roaming Legendary –Latios was exclusive to Pokemon Ruby.

How to Get Latias Treat

Once you complete the main storyline of The Indigo Disk and roll credits, a man called Snacksworth will appear outside the entrance to Blueberry Academy. For every 10 BBQs you complete, the man will randomly give you a treat for a legendary Pokemon. For Pokemon Violet players, completing quests solo will eventually earn you the Latias Treat. However, Scarlet players must complete group quests by connecting with friends online.

Latias can be found on a small beach in the Paldea region’s South Province (Area 4). You can see the location in the picture above. It’s east of Alfornada and west of your house near Poco Path. The easiest way to get there without hassle is to open the map and fast-travel to your house. Go behind your home and fly out west over the water until you see a small beach on the right-hand side. It should take about 20-25 seconds of travel.

Make sure to save your game before starting the battle with Latias. If you accidentally knock it out, you can restart your game and appear right before the legendary again like nothing ever happened.

Latias’ Moves and Weaknesses

Latias will be level 70 when you encounter/catch it. It’s a Dragon/Psychic-type Pokemon, making it take extra damage from Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dark, Dragon, and Fairy-type attacks.
