How to Upgrade Your Village in LEGO Fortnite

After completing some of the introductory tasks, like making a Campfire in LEGO Fortnite, you’ll be able to craft an item called a Village Square. This can be found in the Build menu underneath the Utility section. Using this will make the nearby area a village, and you need 10 pieces of Wood and 10 Granite to make it. If you’re wondering how to upgrade your village after creating it, however, this guide will show just how to do that and how to increase the village rating.

How to Upgrade Village in LEGO Fortnite

Once you have the Village Square set on the floor, just approach it and hit the button that shows up to enter the Village Upgrade menu. The left side of the menu (Village Hub) shows the upgrade level rewards. As you level up your village, you’ll gain neat bonuses. For example, level 2 unlocks Foragers for Hire. This means you can employ NPCs to go out in the wild to look for materials, or they can even refine wood and stone.

Level 3 unlocks Growing Village, meaning an additional villager can now live there. Getting to level 3 also unlocks a feature that allows your villagers to gift you items and materials.

Upgrading your village is done on the right side of the menu. You’ll use a combination of village points and materials to upgrade the village’s level.

You can see the materials needed under the Requirements section. To get to level 4, for instance, you’ll need to gather 10 Knotroot, 15 Planks, and 25 Granite. You’ll also need to fill up the village rating bar to further upgrade the village. That’s the progress bar on the top-right of the screen that’s present while exploring the map.

Upgrading the village will also give you new crafting recipes and more space for NPCs to move in.

How to Increase Village Rating in LEGO Fortnite

Increasing the village rating is actually not as hard as it seems. You should be able to make the bar fill up by building most items in the village. This includes things like decorations, shacks, stations, etc.
