Fans had been waiting for this fight to continue for quite a long time now, however, the clash between Takaba and Kenjaku took up quite a lot of chapters in between. Now, however, the story is back to the most exciting fight and as it continues, fans will most definitely be treated with some incredible moments for both parties, the King of Curses, as well as the duo of Higuruma and Yuji.
Jujutsu Kaisen: 13 Strongest Powers Of Sukuna
Sukuna is arguably the most powerful character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and here are some of his most powerful abilities.
The vast majority of JJK chapter 244 was dedicated to this incredible clash and judging by the way it developed as the chapter went on, it is going to be extremely interesting to see how this battle turns out.
Sukuna’s Previous Fights In Shinjuku
Sukuna has been incredibly busy over the course of the last few months in JJK. He has been at the center of quite a lot of high-octane fights, starting with his battle against Gojo. This fight was the very best in the arc and was certainly a fun clash that fans enjoyed, for the most part. This fight put all other JJK fights to shame and provided a thrilling competition between the two strongest sorcerers of all time. Sukuna ended up winning this clash with questionable methods after he chopped Gojo in half and, when that happened, fans were not given even a single moment to mourn and the battle instead moved to a clash with Kashimo.
Immediately after Gojo fell, Kashimo fought against Sukuna and revealed his cursed technique. His cursed technique was so powerful that Sukuna was pushed into a corner and was forced to reincarnate. After his reincarnation was complete, it was made clear that Sukuna was way too strong for Kashimo, and as expected, the battle ended with Sukuna completely destroying him. Immediately after the battle with Kashimo concluded, both Yuji and Higuruma jumped onto the field and fans will most definitely see these two characters fight an incredibly intense battle that could end up going either way, even though Yuji and Higuruma are the underdogs here by every means.
Yuji Jumps Into Battle Vs Sukuna
One of the very first things that fans noticed when Yuji and Higuruma jumped into battle was the fact that Yuji’s hand looked somewhat different. Yuji had short nails on his fingers and his arm looked quite weird. Quite a lot of the fans deduced that Yuji was starting to awaken his Cursed Technique. Fans must remember that Yuji still has not developed a Cursed Technique, which is rather strange. However, Gojo has mentioned previously that Yuji will eventually gain access to Sukuna’s techniques, given that his powers will trickle down into him, giving Yuji access to the powers of Malevolent Shrine and cursed techniques such as Cleave and Dismantle as well.
Jujutsu Kaisen: 6 Best Quotes By Gojo Satoru
These are the very best quotes said by Gojo Satoru in JJK.
This could have been a sign of Yuji’s awakening of cursed technique. However, sadly, fans were not given any hints about his cursed technique in the chapter. What was clear was that Yuji has some sort of new technique activated and using this power, he seems to be able to punch very hard. Of course, this technique could be capable of more than just that, however, for now, that is all that the fans were told in the chapter. At the same time, the battle between Yuji and Sukuna began in JJK chapter 244 and Yuji managed to land a bunch of punches on him. Even though Sukuna tried his best to guard, he was shocked by the force behind this heavy punch and was actually shaking.
Higuruma then decided to join in and pulled Sukuna back towards himself. It appears that Yuji and Higuruma have planned this very well as there appears to be a certain level of coordination between these two fighters. It isn’t a surprise to the fans to know that these two characters have planned everything in advance. The students were seen in a flashback in this chapter, where they decided that their plan would be to send Yita after Kenjaku if Gojo loses and then attempt to bait him after Takaba creates an opening.
They also decided that Kashimo would go in first in case Gojo lost and that Yuji and Higuruma would follow very soon after.
That appears to be exactly what Yuji is currently doing. The idea here could be to gang up on Sukuna, however, for now, only Yuji and Higuruma have joined the battle. It must be noted that Yuta is expected to return to the battlefield soon, however, a lot of that depends on how his mission with Kenjaku goes and no one knows if he has successfully completed it or not.
Regardless, coming back to the fight between Sukuna and the duo of Yuji and Higuruma, it appears that Sukuna is taking things easy at the moment and this is largely because he wants to observe his opponents. At the same time, Gege wants to give fans a proper look at what these characters are capable of before Sukuna starts showing his true powers against them.
Higuruma Uses Deadly Sentencing On Sukuna
The most interesting part of this fight began towards the end, when Higuruma tapped into the power of his Domain Expansion, Deadly Sentencing. Fans know that this is a Domain Expansion that is very special in many ways. In fact, it is a Domain Expansion that can be considered to be one of the very strongest in the JJK series, even though it is non-lethal. Usually, domain expansions have a sure-hit attack that gives a major advantage to those who utilize their cursed technique by imbuing it in their domain.
However, in the case of Higuruma, he does not have a sure-hit attack. Instead, whoever is inside his domain is forced to abide by his rules. Essentially, they cannot attack a Higuruma inside and Higuruma cannot attack them either. Higuruma makes use of his shikigami, Judgman, inside his Domain Expansion, and the opponent is put on trial. Based on whether they are guilty of charges that are levied against them, Higuruma can take drastic measures. Something even as major as taking away the cursed technique or direct execution can entirely be done as well and Sukuna could be in trouble here.
The charges against Sukuna are made quite clear. He is charged with taking over Yuji’s body by force and attempting to murder Gojo. Furthermore, he is also charged with killing multiple people in Shibuya. However, it must be remembered that Judgman previously noted Yuji to be responsible for these crimes and it will be interesting to see how the ruling goes with this particular trial.
This is a very interesting part of the story where Sukuna could actually end up losing his Cursed Technique and is forced to fight without it from there onwards. Or, fans could end up seeing the true nature of Sukuna if he manages to pull himself out of this situation and then demonstrate his strength once again by crushing Higuruma and potentially even Yuji. Either way, this is a battle that fans absolutely love already, and it continues after the break.
