AI-created artwork envisions Keanu Reeves returning in John Wick 5, facing off against a range of distinct foes in an unusual setting. Interestingly, Wick’s enemies also include superheroes from Marvel and DC: Spider-Man and Batman.
John Wick is one of the rare action franchises that has exceeded all expectations. The first three installments received positive reviews, but Chapter 4 took the film series to a new level. Over the years, fans have imagined Wick taking on some iconic characters in different fan art. However, the recent AI-generated artwork sees him fighting Marvel and DC superheroes.
The clip, uploaded by Instagram user @trashcanpaul, features AI-generated images of Reeves’ John Wick entering Domino’s pizzeria and taking on different enemies. As the video moves forward, Wick fights superheroes Spider-Man and Batman inside the pizzeria. Of course, the character is giving a powerful beating to both the superheroes and letting them know that Wick is invincible.
There have been massive debates about John Wick’s return. Without any doubt, Lionsgate would want to bring the character back for one more outing. Although the ending of John Wick 4 has the potential to serve as a satisfying conclusion to the series, fans and makers would want to see Reeves donning the iconic suit once again. Director Chad Stahelski mentioned he and Reeves are open to another John Wick movie, but they’re waiting to find a compelling story before considering it further.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker clarified that although it’s not confirmed, he outlined the factors affecting the decision to make John Wick 5, preventing the potential fifth installment from being a sure thing. While speaking to Inverse, Stahelski said, “I have notebooks and notebooks of s–t behind me, John Wicks 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. We have ideas for days. We just don’t have the story locked. I have no interest in doing the cash grab of bringing John Wick back for something.” John Wick: Chapter 4 was a huge hit, making over $440.1 million worldwide with a budget of $100 million. With these figures, it became the franchise’s top-earning film.
Although the fifth movie isn’t officially confirmed, the John Wick universe is set to move forward with the Ana de Armas starrer Ballerina. Taking place between John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, the film features de Armas as Rooney, a ballerina assassin seeking vengeance against her mother’s murderers. It would be interesting to see how the upcoming movie shapes the franchise and the direction this film series takes after the film. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed for another John Wick movie, and some wouldn’t mind seeing Spider-Man or Batman going one-on-one with Reeves’ iconic character.
All the John Wick movies are available for streaming on Lionsgate Play.
