Best Berserker Weapons in Killing Floor 2

The first thing we will go over for your Berserker build are the best weapons to give your character. Berserkers usually focus on melee weapons, but there are a few ranged weapons you can use to your advantage as well. As you choose your loadout, here are some weapons to consider.

  • Crover Shovel: This weapon is perfect for those just getting started, and can even be used for a long time until you are able to afford better weapons. It deals 49 damage for light attacks, and 86 damage for hard attacks.
  • Bone Crusher: The Bone Crusher not only deals massive damage, but it can also protect your character well. It has a parry damage reduction of 70 percent, and a block damage reduction of 70 percent. Along with this, its light attacks will deal 80 damage, hard attacks will deal 165 damage, and bash attacks can deal up to 175 damage. This weapon essentially serves as both a melee weapon and a shield, making it particularly useful for close quarters and defensive strategies.
  • VLAD-1000 Nailgun: When you are looking for a ranged weapon, the best choice is to take the VLAD-1000 Nailgun. This weapon is incredibly powerful, since each shot of the gun can get you up to 245 damage. You can also swap between single fire and shotgun mode, making it very versatile. It is especially useful against Bloat enemies.
  • Hemoclobber: This weapon is perfect for crowd control, and can be useful for those looking to stay in the same spot. Hemoclobber has the ability to use gas explosions to its advantage, allowing you to deal up to 200 damage in the area. It is a great option for the Berserker class.

Best Berserker Skills/Perks in Killing Floor 2

Along with weapons, you’ll need to choose skills/perks to upgrade for your Berserker build. These include five different areas, including: Survival, Combat, Close Combat, Power, and Advanced Training. With two options to choose from for each of these, here are our preferred choices.

  • Survival: Skirmisher. This perk will allow you to move 20 percent faster and sprint 25 percent faster when using a perk weapon. Along with this, you will also regenerate 1 point of health every second. This perk is best for making sure you can quickly move across the battlefield to avoid attacks, and keep yourself from losing too much health.
  • Combat: Vampire. This perk will heal 3 points of health for every Zed you kill with a perk weapon. You’ll also be able to attack 20 percent faster when using a perk melee weapon. Vampire will bring additional protection to your character along with Skirmisher, ensuring your health is always restored.
  • Close Combat: Parry. When parrying with a perk melee weapon, you’ll reduce incoming damage by 30 percent and increase melee weapon attack speed by 5 percent and melee damage by 35 percent for 8 seconds. This perk is a must-have for a Berserker, especially since the majority of your battles will have you using melee weapons and getting close to enemies. Parrying is a necessary strategy for learning how to properly play as a Berserker.
  • Power: Smash. This perk will allow hard attacks with perk melee weapons to do 50 percent more damage, do 25 percent more damage on head hits, and possess 200 percent more stumble power. This perk is quite a bit more useful than Massacre and will make a much larger difference in the overall damage dealt to enemies, allowing you to more quickly level up.
  • Advanced Training: Spartan. During Zed time, you will attack with perk weapons and move in real-time. This is incredibly useful since you will normally be slowed down in Zed time, but having the Spartan perk will allow you to reload quickly and shoot before your enemies can even retaliate.

Now that you’re aware of the best possible build for the Berserker, you’ll need a bit of tips to ensure you are reaching your full potential. Here are some things to take note of when playing as the Berserker.

  • Although the Berserker build has great survivability, you’ll still want to make sure you are paying attention to your health. Since you will be fighting enemies up close, you’ll want to make sure you are sticking to the edges of the map to avoid being surrounded.
  • The Berserker build is mostly focused around your melee weapons, but don’t forget to utilize any ranged weapons you have as well. This can help you take out more difficult enemies from a distance, such as Bloat enemies.
  • While the rest of your team focuses on smaller enemies, you’ll want to take down the bigger ones. Try to go for headshots, and utilize grenades as much as possible.
  • Berserkers also have the potential to gain a lot of Vosh (in-game currency), which you can also get from Prestige. You can share some of this with your teammates if you choose.
