In most every Kingdom Hearts game, there is always a keyblade that is considered to be the best one obtainable in the entire game from a stat standpoint. This keyblade is known as Ultima Weapon, and it always takes a great deal of effort to obtain it. That said, Ultima Weapon is arguably the easiest to obtain in Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix and is certainly easier than it was to obtain in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, although the method is similar. If you want to obtain this powerful weapon, here is how you can do so.

Where to Find the Ultima Weapon Recipe

kingdom hearts 2 final mix ultima weapon recipe location

Just like in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Ultima Weapon has to be created through synthesis. You won’t be able to get the recipe until you’ve completed every world twice and head back to Twilight Town. While exploring the mansion, go down into the basement and enter the hallway that leads to where Sora was sleeping at the start of the game. There will be a chest in this area that contains the recipe for Ultima Weapon.

How to Craft Ultima Weapon

In order to craft Ultima Weapon, you will need to gather the following materials.

  • Seven Orichalcum+ (Looted from chests, completing areas like 100 Acre Wood and Atlantica, and completing the Goddess of Fate Cup)
  • Orcichalcum (Looted from chests and from turning in materials for synthesis)
  • Mythril Crystal (Looted from chests and also made through synthesis)
  • Dense Crystal (Drops from Berserker Nobodies)
  • Twilight Crystal (Drops from Sorcerer Nobodies)
  • Three Serenity Crystals (Looted from chests in Cavern of Remembrance: Mining Area and from turning in materials for synthesis)

By default, the recipe will require 13 Orichalcum+, but you can only obtain seven. To get around this, you will need to use an Energy Crystal to reduce the amount of materials needed by half.

Is Ultima Weapon Worth It?

The Ultima Weapon in Kingdom Hearts 2

Ultima Weapon has the following stats and abilities:

Stats:

Ability:

  • MP Hastega – Increases MP restoration by 75% once all MP has been consumed.

In terms of stats, Ultima Weapon is a strong contender. The only keyblade that has more Strength is Fenrir while Winner’s Proof has the highest Magic stat in the game.

However, on higher difficulties and in endgame content like the Organization XIII Replica Data battles or Lingering Will, MP Hastega is not a great ability. This is especially the case when compared to other keyblades like Decisive Pumpkin, which has Combo Boost. Combo Boost is significantly more useful as it allows your finishers to do significantly more damage and they can stack.
