Ahead of the start of the 25/26 Premier League season, 1Boxoffice.com reviewed its Premier League tickets sales data from last season, which revealed that half (5) of the top 10 ‘most popular’ teams for ticket sales were based in London. Arsenal was the #1 ‘most popular’ Premier League teams in 24/25 (based on quantity of tickets sold) overall, with Chelsea (#2), Tottenham Hotspur (#4), West Ham United (#6), and Crystal Palace (#8) also featuring in the top 10.

Looking ahead to the 25/26 season, fans looking for Arsenal football tickets are already generating significant interest, with the team’s early home fixtures being amongst the most sought-after this season, alongside Liverpool home games. The expert sales team at 1Boxoffice.com shared:

“Currently, Liverpool and Arsenal home fixtures are very much in demand for the 25/26 season. For the three teams joining the league for the 25/26 season (including Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland) demand could easily surge or decrease depending upon their early performance once the season is underway”.

1Boxoffice.com also researched which teams and players created the biggest ‘buzz’ amongst football fans during last season by analysing search volume data for the 20 teams that competed in the 24/25 Premier League, which revealed that Arsenal ranked in the top 5 (#5) most ‘buzzworthy’ teams overall, with an average monthly search volume of 246k.

Further search volume analysis of Arsenal players also revealed the team’s top players for fan engagement online last season – in top spot was Declan Rice, with an average monthly search volume of 165k. Interest for Rice peaked just before the start of the season in July 2024, with 368k searches. Despite a ‘failed’ loan from Chelsea and just 17 appearances for Arsenal during the season, Raheem Sterling took silver in this ranking (with an average monthly search volume of 135k) and Bukayo Saka took the third spot (with an average monthly search volume of 110k).

With these insights in mind, the 1Boxoffice.com team also gave some advice for fans hoping to secure the best possible tickets for future fixtures:

“As well as loyal club followers, the ticket sales are also spiked by the demand from the holiday makers who look to secure tickets for the early fixtures in the summer break. With this in mind, it is always ideal to buy tickets early as the ticket prices usually go up as you move closer to the matches. Our historical data also indicates that customers who purchase tickets early are most likely to save up to 50% of the price that they would have to pay for the tickets closer to the match dates. However, we do sell tickets right up until the match kick off, so in some cases even last-minute entrance to games can be catered for”.

When looking for affordable tickets, the team shared that seat selection is also key –  stadium seating is typically divided into two main areas – long-side and short-side. Long-side seats run along the length of the pitch and provide a better overall view of the game, allowing you to see both goals clearly.

Due to the superior visibility, tickets here are generally more expensive. Short-side, on the other hand, are located behind the goals. While the view of the field may be less comprehensive, the short side is known for a more exciting atmosphere, especially during goal-scoring moments. These sections are typically the most energetic and filled with passionate fans.

“Once you’ve decided between the long or short side, the next choice is whether to sit in the upper or lower stands. Upper stand seats typically offer a wider view of the game, but from a higher perspective, whereas lower stand seats get you closer to the action, but your view may be limited to one side of the field. In terms of pricing, seats on the long-side lower are generally the most expensive, while the upper short-side tends to be the most affordable”.
