When you first start your settlement in Manor Lords, timber is one of the most essential items you will require. Unplanned usage of these resources, however, could lead to a shortage and, in a worst-case situation, could bring the settlement to an abrupt end.

Even though managing timber in the early stages of your settlement can be difficult, you can give your villagers a consistent supply of wood by using the right plans and techniques. As you construct new buildings and upgrade your burgage plots, you can use these to ensure continual expansion of your settlement.

How to Get Timber

You must construct the Logging Camp in Manor Lords to obtain Timber from it. It is important to build the Logging Camp as early as possible, because if you run out of timber before you have built a Logging Camp, it will definitely mark the end for your settlement.

The Logging Camp can be built via the Construction menu in the Gathering section. It will take two timber to build the logging camp, and one unassigned worker family is needed to see the construction through to completion. The optimum location for a logging camp is close to a forest. However, avoid placing them close to a wild animal reserve, as this will push the animals to relocate and leave your inhabitants without enough food.

Best Strategy to Farm Timber in the Early Game

limiting work area logging camp

It is advised to set up the Forester’s Hut close to the Logging Camp in order to guarantee a steady supply of timber. Once constructed, restrict the Forester’s Hut’s work area to the same spot designated by the Advanced menu for the Logging Camp workers. In this manner, the cutters will continue to cut down the trees and gather timber, and the foresters will continue to plant new trees in the same place.

Even though the workers have gathered enough timber, many players may frequently run into the issue of not having enough timber in their storage. This can result if there are not enough Oxen to move all the produced timber. If you are facing this problem, you must get more Oxen as soon as you have gathered the required Regional Wealth. You can also assign an Ox only to work for the Logging Camp from its Advanced menu to ensure proper transportation.

Make thoughtfully designed roadways all over your village to ease the movement of workers and the Ox’s carrying of timber. This can greatly improve your village’s productivity and facilitate the people’s transportation of the supplies needed for development.
