Mario vs. Donkey Kong has a decent amount of additional post-game content for players to enjoy. After completing the last stage of the final boss fight, fans will unlock:

  • World+ Levels
  • Expert Levels
  • Time Attack Mode

World+ Levels

After Mario takes down Donkey Kong in the “vs. Donkey Kong” level, DK will find more Mario Toys and return to the Mario Toy Factor (W1). Gamers will now be able to play harder levels in every single world that they’ve visited before. There are as many World+ Levels as there are standard levels, meaning it adds an extra 66 levels to Mario vs. Donkey Kong.

In the standard Worlds, Mario would have to complete two areas per level. In the first area, he would bring a key to unlock a door and reach the second area, and then he would have to get to the Mini Mario Toy at the end of the level. World+ Levels only have one area to complete. Gamers will still have to find three presents, but instead of Mario getting the key to the door, a Mini Mario Toy will hold the key, and just like MM levels, he will have to guide it to the destination – in this case, the locked door. Once this objective has been completed, the level will then end.

Expert Levels

Mario vs. Donkey Kong players will unlock Expert Levels once they beat the game’s final boss. There are 16 Expert Levels in Mario vs. Donkey Kong, but gamers will need a set of eight gold stars for each additional level to become available. To unlock all Expert Levels in Mario vs. Donkey Kong fans will need a total of 128 gold stars.

Players will get a gold star in Mario vs. Donkey Kong if they fully complete a level. For standard levels, this means they’ll have to gather all the presents. For MM levels, they must get all the Mini Mario Toys into the box. For boss levels, they must complete the level with all Mini Mario Toys intact.

Time Attack Mode
