  • A Minecraft player found an abundance of gold armor causing lag in the game.
  • The player speculated that a glitch duplicated the gold armor from drowned zombies.

A Minecraft player online has made an extremely strange discovery in-game, which could allow them to gain access to a ton of in-game gold. This Minecraft player seems to have no idea what caused their unique find, leading some to believe they may have found a new glitch in the game.

Because Minecraft features such a robust sandbox that allows players to play the game in just about any way, this can have adverse effects at times. Sometimes, this level of freedom can cause the game to act in unexpected ways. For example, a while back, a Minecraft player found an item that shouldn’t exist. These instances are pretty rare, and can make for some unique scenarios as and when they do occur. Luckily, it’s not often that these things pop up and prove to be game-breaking, making this not a huge problem at all.

Minecraft Fan Creates Real-Life Bookshelf Based on the In-Game Block

A player shows their enthusiasm for Minecraft by creating a real-life bookcase inspired by the popular sandbox game’s bookshelf block.

Redditor Substantial-Boss2206 shared the strange images, where they look underwater only to find an enormous amount of gold armor floating around. There’s so much of it that it’s actually causing the player’s PC to lag. According to the player, this is in Minecraft‘s Survival Mode, while in a server with one other player, although neither of them had set up a drowned zombies farm, which would have gone a long way to explaining what’s actually happening here. One player felt they should take their luck where they could find it, pointing out it could prove quite lucrative if they were to smelt each piece of gold armor into nuggets.

Minecraft Player Finds Strange Duplicated Gold Armor

Many gamers had different theories about what could have caused the strange gold armor situation, although most of them were shut down by the original poster. There are no mods in play here, so it certainly isn’t down to that. One theory actually made a ton of sense, with Redditor No_Information_9006 pointing out that it could simply be one drowned zombie that has died here, and the drop has somehow been duplicated. They realized this could be the case after noticing that all the gold leggings were enchanted, a theory that would be proven if every item had the same durability. Substantial-Boss2206 returned to confirm this was indeed true, making this likely the result of a bizarre Minecraft glitch.

It’s awesome to see how popular Minecraft is among gamers so long after its initial launch. While Minecraft‘s core gameplay is timeless, lots of credit must go to Mojang for keeping the game updated with tons of new content. Minecraft‘s recent Tricky Trials update is a great example of this, with its focus on making adventuring in the game feel fresh all over again.
