This time Minecraft is collaborating with Moana 2, and a new DLC inspired by the movie has been released at a price tag of 1500 minecoins or $8.99. The content, available for the Bedrock version of Minecraft, sees Chief Tui wanting to expand the village of Motunui to more islands. Minecraft Adds New Adventure Inspired by Moana 2
As well as visiting familiar locations from the Moana universe in Minecraft style, the DLC will introduce players to new characters and old acquaintances. Among them are Simea, Moana’s little sister, the Hei Hei roster, and Tamatoa, the giant crab who served as the antagonist in the 2016 movie. Other adventures await exploring the secrets of Wayfinder’s Cavern, in fights against the Kakamora pirates, and in the monstrous kingdom of Lalotai, the destination for recovering Maui’s book. Additionally, players will be able to change the appearance of their Minecraft character with the Flower Crown, a new cosmetic item available for free for a limited time via the Dressing Room.
This isn’t the first time that Mojang’s famous sandbox has received a DLC inspired by a well-known movie. Previously, Minecraft collaborated with Kung Fu Panda, and different Disney feature films such as The Lion King, Minions, Beauty and the Beast, and Star Wars. The Moana 2 DLC, on the other hand, not only arrives as a kind of warm-up for the release of the movie, but also after other important updates, such as the one that added the new Pale Garden biome and the new Creaking mob to the game.
