  • While it’s a small update, it’s also an important one.

Capcom has released a brand-new update for Dragon’s Dogma 2, fixing multiple issues that gamers were facing with the game’s Pawns, among other problems. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the best releases of the year so far, and this latest update improves the experience further.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 was a sequel 12 years in the making. Gamers waited patiently for Capcom to release a new iteration of its RPG series, and were finally rewarded with a sequel this year. While the game itself was well-received, the launch was not without controversy. Players were unhappy with the presence of microtransactions in the game, and the Dragonsplague mechanic was a nasty surprise for many who accidentally soft-locked their save files. Despite this, the game has continued to go from strength to strength. Just recently, Dragon’s Dogma 2 hit another impressive milestone after reaching 3 million players in total.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: The Biggest Changes Over DD1 and Dark Arisen Explained

Dragon’s Dogma 2 might be a remake of the first game more than anything else, but it still comes with several changes to its gameplay and story.

The latest patch notes for Dragon’s Dogma 2 are rather small, but feature several important fixes across all platforms. The first big change involves storage. Previously, the maximum number of items that players could put in storage sat at 1000, although this has been raised to 3000 with the new Dragon’s Dogma 2 update. On top of this, several changes have been made to the Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Pawns’ cosmetics will now be consistent across other players’ worlds, and one bug causing the main Pawn to speak support Pawn’s dialogue has also been solved. On the PC version of the game, DLSS Frame Generation has now been added to the Graphics menu, which could prove a useful addition for some.

So far, Capcom has done a solid job of addressing the major player complaints with its newest RPG. April’s big Dragon’s Dogma 2 update provided a big nerf to Dragonsplague, which has proven to be the game’s most punishing feature if players choose to ignore it. While the latest update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 may not be the biggest so far, it’s good to see common complaints such as the storage limit being addressed.

While the updates for Dragon’s Dogma 2 continue, news of any potential DLC for the game has gone suspiciously quiet. During the game’s initial release period, Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC was teased via a Capcom survey, but nothing official has ever come of this. It’s still early days, however. The game still has some issues for Capcom to fix, and it’s possible the studio is waiting a while before it is ready to confirm more content coming to the game in the future.
