  • Switch owners must claim the free game every day to continue receiving the rest of the free games, with the option to buy any missed games.

Nintendo Switch gamers will have the opportunity to add 11 free games to their digital libraries thanks to a giveaway hosted by No Gravity Games. The Nintendo Switch has an absolutely massive library of games to choose from, ranging from blockbuster AAA games to smaller-scale indie titles. Minus some free-to-play exceptions, the vast majority of games on the Nintendo Switch cost money, and so it’s safe to say many fans would jump at the opportunity to snag some games for free.

There are over 100 million Nintendo Switch consoles in the wild, based on Nintendo’s sales numbers, and it’s likely that number will increase this holiday season. Rumor has it that Nintendo is going to turn its attention to the Switch successor console in 2024, but it isn’t done selling original Switch units yet, making a variety of holiday Switch bundles available to potential customers.

Nintendo surprises Switch Online subscribers by adding three more Nintendo 64 games to its lineup of retro titles.

New or existing Switch owners in the Americas will want to be sure to grab the 11 free games that No Gravity Games will be giving away next week as part of its Switchmas Wonderland event, starting on Monday, December 11. The catch is that Switch gamers must already own a game from No Gravity Games to participate in the giveaway. Those that don’t meet the criteria can sign up for the No Gravity Games newsletter to get Pirates: All Aboard for free, which will in turn let them claim the free games. One new game will be made free each day from December 11 to December 19, with two free games given away on Wednesday, December 20, the last day of the giveaway. Switch owners have to claim the free game every day to keep the chain going, otherwise they forfeit the chance to claim the rest of the free games. However, they do have the option to buy any games they miss to get back on track and be eligible to get the future games for free.

Of course, many Switch gamers will be wondering what games will be up for grabs. The free games are all mystery titles, meaning Switch owners won’t know what they are until they’re made free each day. This echoes No Gravity Games’ Christmas giveaway from last year, and it’s similar to what the Epic Games Store will be doing soon as well.

The Epic Games Store free mystery games promotion is expected to start on Thursday, December 14, so Switch gamers won’t be the only ones getting free games next week. Whereas the Switch free games have some prerequisites that must be met, the Epic Games Store free games come with absolutely no strings attached, so PC gamers should be sure to claim them while they can.
