Deviations are some of the most valuable assets in Once Human, each offering unique abilities that can significantly aid players in their progression. While many players might focus on obtaining a reliable Combat Deviation like the Mini Feaster, Crafting Deviations are equally valuable in their own way.

Though Crafting Deviations may not contribute directly to aiding in combat or territory management, they can still be useful to the players who secure them. Crafting Deviations in particular provide brand-new crafting recipes to acquire, some of which can be a game changer. This is the case with the Hug-in-a-Bowl Deviation, a critter that offers players a sanity-restoring dish.

How To Get The Hug-in-a-Bowl Deviation

As the name suggests, the Hug-in-a-Bowl Deviation can be acquired randomly by players who craft a Hug-in-a-Bowl using an Electric Stove. However, the recipe needed to obtain the Deviation differs from the standard one. To craft Hug-in-a-Bowl and unlock the Deviation, players will need the following ingredients:

• Salt
• Deviated Peppercorn
• Two Wheat
• Pork
• Cabbage

How To Get Deviated Peppercorn

The key ingredient here is Deviated Peppercorn, which is obtained randomly by growing regular Peppercorn in a player’s territory with Peppercorn Seeds. To acquire Peppercorn Seeds, players can either find them out in the world or purchase them from Lacey at Blackfell with 1,000 Energy Links.

Once players have the seeds, they can be planted in either Loamy Soil or a Planter Box. Afterward, players will be given the option to add fertilizer and a water source, each of which will help optimize crop growth. To optimize the chance of acquiring Deviated Peppercorn, players can choose the Mutation Boost Fertilizer, along with having a Buzzy Bee work at the territory. Once the crop has grown, it should give off a purple hue to indicate that it has Deviated. Players can then simply harvest it to obtain Deviated Peppercorn.

Once players have this rare crop, they can use it in the Electric Stove to craft a Hug-in-a-Bowl. Upon crafting, there’s a small chance they will receive the Hug-in-a-Bowl Deviation.

How To Use The Hug-in-a-Bowl Deviation

Hug-in-a-Bowl is a Crafting Deviation that players can set up in their territory in Once Human. Players need to build an Isolation Securement Unit and place the Deviation inside to use it. Upon doing so, players will unlock the Homestyle Noodles Recipe, Hug-in-a-Bowl’s ability.

This handy food item is simple to make and restores the player’s Sanity upon consumption. Homestyle Noodles can be made at a Supplies Workbench using the following materials:

• Eight Delicious Soup
• Four Acid
• Three Glass

While Glass and Acid can be obtained by a variety of methods, Delicious Soup is instead generated by Hug-in-a-Bowl, and can be gathered by interacting with the Isolation Securement Unit that the Deviation is placed inside of.
