There’s more to Once Human than building bases and gunning down monsters. The world is rich with sidequests and interesting anomalies that tend to have good rewards. The mysterious telephone booths in the game’s starting area is one such anomaly, and you can get a decent haul of materials from them if you figure out what they want.
The telephone booth puzzle in Once Human is just one of many weird world events scattered about the map. This one isn’t particularly difficult to solve, but for new Once Human players who are confused about it, here’s what you need to do.

Players who are looking for areas with polluted water in Once Human can find a map that highlights four contaminated locations in this guide.
Once Human Telephone Booth Puzzle, Explained
This is less of a puzzle and more of a scavenger hunt. You don’t have to do much here — just find the telephone booths, interact with them, and go to the center point between all phone booths to find a loot chest.
To recap, the phone booths are found in the Dayton Wetlands region. Specifically, they’re on the farm portion of Brookham in Once Human. The phones are a bit scattered, but once you find one, it’ll be marked on your map for future reference. The map above shows the location of the phone booths, but if you’re having trouble finding them, listen closely for a ringing phone, and you’ll find yourself going the right direction.
Now, if you really can’t find the phones, try coming back at night between 7PM and 6AM. If the phones still aren’t in any of the spots noted above, then try moving to a different world. This shouldn’t be necessary for many players, but it’s there as an option if you need it.

Rewards
As mentioned, answering all the phone booths causes a rewards chest to spawn. Open it up, and you’ll find a bunch of goodies, including Energy Links, Controllers, Stardust Source, and Stellar Planula. These might not seem like much, but their value adds up once you start getting more of them.
Getting Energy Links in Once Human can get tedious. You need them to teleport around the map, upgrade weapons, and unlock memetics, to name a few. Stellar Planula is even harder to get as you can only obtain them from quests. You’ll eventually get enough of this to buy everything from the Stellar Planula store, but reaching that point will take a while.
Stardust Source is used for crafting advanced items like AP ammo, Quick Activators, and so on. Meanwhile, Controllers are for obtaining full rewards from the chests that appear after boss fights or Securement Silo runs. If you don’t use a Controller to open them, you’ll get less valuable rewards, so make sure to have a healthy stock of these handy.
