One Piece: 5 Characters Who Could Join The Blackbeard Pirates

These One Piece characters might join the Blackbeard Pirates in the Final Saga.

Eiichiro Oda pays a great deal of attention to the character matchups in One Piece. It is due to this that almost all the fights feel natural. However, there have been a few times when the fights have been mismatched and therefore one-sided.

6 Ace vs Blackbeard

Winner: Blackbeard

Portgas D Ace trained by Garp One Piece

Ace was looking for Blackbeard on his own in order to punish him for murdering a crewmate. After intensely searching for him, Ace finally found Blackbeard on Banaro Island. Blackbeard offered Ace a chance to join his crew, but the young pirate refused.

Ace was heavily reliant on his Devil Fruit, which proved to be a big hindrance in the fight, as Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi completely nullified his powers. Ace was left without his biggest weapon, which allowed Blackbeard to win the fight. After the battle, Blackbeard handed Ace over to the Marines and secured his position among the Shichibukai.

5 Sakazuki vs Kuzan

Winner: Sakazuki

One Piece Aokiji Akainu

After Sengoku stepped down from his position, the Marines were left without a Fleet Admiral to guide them. Eventually, two candidates were selected to become the next Fleet Admiral. One of them was Sakazuki, and the other was Kuzan. The higher-ups in the World Government were pushing for Sakuzuki to become the next Fleet Admiral. Kuzan, on the other hand, was supported by Sengoku.

These One Piece characters haven’t unlocked the true potential of their Devil Fruits.

To decide who would lead the next generation of Marines, Sakazuki and Kuzan decided to duel it out. The two Admirals went to Punk Hazard, where they fought for several days, and eventually, it was Sakuzuki who came out on top. This was hardly surprising considering he had the Magu Magu no Mi at his disposal, which gave him the ability to control magma. This was certainly not a good matchup, as Sakazuki’s magma would have easily melted through ice.

4 Zoro vs Buggy

Winner: Buggy

Roronoa Zoro is a talented fighter who dreams of becoming the strongest swordsman in the world. Throughout his journey, Zoro has encountered powerful opponents, and he has defeated them with his skill and hard work. But he has not always been successful.

In the East Blue Saga, Zoro fought Buggy. The former thought that he had managed to cut Buggy, but that wasn’t the case. Buggy’s Bara Bara no Mi made him impervious to any slashing attacks. Buggy used this window of opportunity to stab and gravely injure Zoro.

3 Mihawk vs Jozu

Winner: None

Jozu Covering His Body In Diamonds In One Piece

Dracule Mihawk is the best swordsman in the world, so it is hardly surprising that everyone knows his name. Mihawk wields a Saijo O-Wazamono grade sword, namely Yoru. It is an all-black blade that is almost the same size as Mihawk. Despite this, he is able to wield the sword effortlessly with just a single hand.

The biggest names in One Piece are fighting in the Egghead War. But who is the strongest among them?

In the Marineford arc, Mihawk had a minor tussle with Jozu, who was the Third Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Many people expected Mihawk to triumph easily, but they were taken aback when Jozu managed to deflect one of his stronger attacks. This was mainly because Jozu possessed the Kira Kira no Mi, which allowed him to cover his body with diamonds. Naturally, Mihawk’s attack could not damage him.

2 Perona vs Usopp

Winner: Usopp

Usopp (One Piece) black anime male character

Perona was one of the top officers of the Thriller Bark Pirates. She possessed the Horo Horo no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, which allowed her to create hollows at will. These hollows were able to pass through the bodies of other people, robbing them of their will to fight. This power made Perona extremely dangerous, as there was no real counter to it.

In the Thriller Bark arc, she nearly defeated all the Straw Hat Pirates without much effort. However, there was one person who was not affected by her Devil Fruit, and that was Usopp. Due to being constantly depressed, the Devil Fruit did not work on him. Since Perona did not have any other standout abilities, she was defeated by Usopp.

1 Enel vs Luffy

Winner: Luffy

One piece ep 1092 release date

In the Skypiea arc, Luffy went toe-to-toe with Enel. The latter called himself the god of Skypiea and tortured everyone who tried to go against him. Before coming to Skypiea, Enel destroyed his homeland and very likely killed everyone living there. He was extremely arrogant, and it was mainly because of his Devil Fruit that enabled him to control lightning at will. He was confident that no one could ever cause him any problems.

However, it all changed when he met Luffy. The young pirate’s rubbery body was unaffected by lightning. This scared Enel, as he finally found a person who posed a threat to him. This was easily one of the most mismatched fights in One Piece, and it would have ended a lot quicker if Enel had not changed his strategy.
