One Piece has recently concluded its Egghead Island Arc, and in this part of the story, fans got a lot of intriguing information about their favorite characters. At the same time, Oda also revealed a lot of lore, specifically for characters From the Void Century, like Joy Boy. Of course, whatever fans know about him is very limited at this point in time, but every bit that was revealed in the Egghead Island arc is valuable.

Much to the surprise of the fans, they also got a demonstration of Joy Boy’s powerful Haki, and it is safe to say that it is the strongest that any character has shown in the story so far. Joy Boy’s Haki reigns supreme over everyone else’s, and only a few can even hope to rival it and combat.

4 Luffy

Luffy is the protagonist Of One Piece, and currently, he has strengthened to the point where he is one of the absolute strongest characters in the story. Luffy is a Yonko, and that essentially means that he has absolutely top-tier control over Haki, as is the bare minimum for someone holding this position, aside from Buggy. Luffy has advanced all three of his Haki types, and his specialty is, of course, Conqueror’s Haki. Luffy utilizes Advanced Conqueror’s Haki, but, at this point in time, he is nowhere near Joy Boy’s level in terms of controlling it.

Still, there are only a handful of individuals who can even utilize this power, and fans know that Luffy, being Joy Boy himself, will have to get to Joy Boy’s level. His Haki is still good enough to rival that of Joy Boy, but he cannot surpass him right now. For that, Luffy will have to train even harder.

3 Whitebeard

The strongest man in the world, Whitebeard was a force to be reckoned with. He had enough power to destroy the world, thanks to his amazing devil fruit ability. While much of the focus when it comes to his powers was on his Devil Fruit, Whitebeard was also a good user of haki. Fans know this from Oden’s flashback, where he clashed with Roger and utilized advanced Supreme King Haki to clash with him.

This Haki was incredibly potent, and while not on the same level as that of Joy Boy, it was certainly very strong. In a battle, Whitebeard would certainly be able to hold his own against Joy Boy and could potentially showcase that he has Haki strong enough to defend himself.

2 Roger

The Pirate King, Gol D. Roger is a tremendously powerful Haki user. Fans know him to be one of the strongest Haki users in One Piece, and this shouldn’t come as a surprise, given that he was the one at the top of The era without even having a Devil Fruit. In the same era when Whitebeard was a top pirate, Roger was able to get even more fame in the world. He was also strong enough to match Whitebeard in combat without even having a devil fruit, and carrying a terminal illness.

In every way, Roger is more impressive, and there is absolutely no denying the fact that his Haki was much superior to that of Whitebeard. Clearly, Roger is one of the characters who could potentially go on to rival Joy Boy in terms of Haki.

1 Shanks

Shanks is one of the current Four Emperors of the Sea and certainly a monstrously powerful Haki user. Shanks does not have a Devil Fruit, just like his mentor, Roger. All he has is his trusted sword Gryphon, and incredibly powerful Haki. Shanks can command all three types of Haki, and all of them have likely been advanced. The fact is that he has the most efficient advanced Conqueror’s Haki that fans have seen in the story, aside from that of Joy Boy.

Shanks’s haki is powerful enough to be sent to his enemies from miles away, and he can even one-shot a 3 billion berry pirate such as Kid, as well as his right-hand man, in a single swing of his sword without even going all out. Shanks is a monstrous Haki user, and one that even Whitebeard praised. Oda directly drew a comparison between Shanks and Joy Boy in terms of Haki, and there’s certainly ambiguity as to who the stronger Haki user is. It must be remembered, however, that Shanks has not showcased all his powers when it comes to Haki. So far, he has only shown the bare minimum, and given that Haki is his only strength, he likely has the strongest of techniques up his sleeve that fans will get to see later down the line.
