The Rocks Pirates were feared for their strength, and their Devil Fruits played a key role in it.

Each Straw Hat pirate has their own specialty, which makes them indispensable. Almost all the members of the group are excellent combatants who are well-versed in different combat styles. As the quality of their opponents has increased, the Straw Hats have had to develop new powers to defeat them. Haki is an important ability that every strong character has. A few members of the Straw Hat Pirates have also learned how to use Haki, but not all of them have the same level of control over it.

Rest of The Straw Hats

Nico Robin, Franky, Nami, Brook, and Chopper are the Straw Hats without any type of Haki. While they have defeated all of their opponents so far, it is possible that the lack of Haki might catch up to them and cause problems in the future. At the moment, these Straw Hats have yet to display any kind of skill related to Haki. But there is a good chance that this might change in the Final Saga of One Piece.

5 Usopp

Sniper Of The Straw Hats

Usopp (One Piece) black anime male character

  • Haki Types: Observation Haki
  • Debut: Episode 8, Chapter 23

Usopp is the marksman of the Straw Hats. While most snipers are steadfast, Usopp is a coward who runs away at the first sight of danger. Usopp has access to Observation Haki, and he used it for the very first time in Dressrosa to knock out Sugar and save Luffy and Law.

His Observation Haki has improved his sniping skills greatly, and he can hit the target more consistently. Usopp did not get an opportunity to use his Haki in the subsequent arcs, but there is a strong chance that it will change in the upcoming ones. Clearly, there is still a lot of room for improvement for Usopp, and he needs to work on his Haki in order to compete with the snipers from the other crews.

4 Jimbei

Helmsman Of The Straw Hats

Jimbei in One Piece episode 1000

  • Haki Types: Armament, Observation
  • Debut: Episode 430, Chapter 528

Jimbei joined the Straw Hats in Wano after a lengthy delay. Having previously served as a Shichibukai, Jimbei has accumulated a ton of fighting experience. He can use Armament Haki in conjunction with Fish-Man karate to deal hefty damage to his enemies.

One Piece has hundreds of Devil Fruits, but these are the toughest to acquire because of their price tags.

Jimbei’s Observation Haki is quite impressive as well, but it pales in comparison to some of the other crew members. During the raid on Onigashima, Jimbei used his Haki to defeat Who’s Who, a Tobi Roppo, with a single punch. Going forward, Jimbei will have to face more challenging opponents, so hopefully he will get many opportunities to use and improve his Haki.

3 Sanji

Cook Of The Straw Hats

Sanji Ifrit jambe attack

  • Haki Types: Armament, Observation
  • Debut: Episode 20, Chapter 43

Sanji joined the crew as a cook, but over the years, he has proven that he is equally impressive as a fighter. Sanji is part of the Monster Trio, which makes him one of the strongest Straw Hats. He can use both Armament and Observation Haki, which he learned on Momoiro Island.

Sanji is particularly skilled at using Observation Haki. He has saved many lives with the help of his Observation Haki. At the moment, if there is any Straw Hat who can awaken Future Sight after Luffy, it is Sanji. His Armament Haki is not bad either, but he needs to put in more work to be able to contend with the likes of Zoro and Luffy.

2 Roronoa Zoro

One Of The Monster Trio

  • Haki Types: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s
  • Debut: Episode 1, Chapter 3

Roronoa Zoro is the main swordsman of the crew. He had already made a name for himself before joining the Straw Hats. Like the rest of the crew, Zoro had no access to Haki before the time-skip. However, he learned to use it under Dracule Mihawk.

Zoro specializes in Armament Haki and often uses it to cover his blades to increase the damage dealt to his enemies. In the Wano Country, Arc, Zorro unknowingly used Conqueror’s Haki, which enabled him to damage Kaido and later defeat his right-hand man, King. The next step for Zoro is to improve his Conqueror’s Haki, so that he can use it without Enma’s help.

1 Monkey D. Luffy

Captain Of The Straw Hats

  • Haki Types: Armament, Observation, Conqueror’s
  • Debut: Episode 1, Chapter 1

Luffy is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the Yonko. He learned how to use Haki during the time-skip under the tutelage of Silvers Rayleigh. Luffy became adept at using all three types of Haki. With time, his control has gotten even better. The fights against Cracker, Katakuri, and Kaido took his Haki to another level.

Currently, he is able to use Future Sight, which can be utilized to look into the future and dodge any incoming attacks. His Armament Haki enables him to damage a person’s body from within, and it can even bypass all kinds of defenses. Luffy’s Conqueror’s Haki is his strongest weapon, and it played a crucial role in his victory over Kaido. Needless to say, Luffy is the best at using Haki among the Straw Hat Pirates.
