Overwatch 2’s Hazard Has an Interesting Advantage on Lijiang Tower

An Overwatch 2 player has discovered that Hazard can access a very high point on the Lijiang Tower map. The Overwatch 2 community always discovers curious details, including secret spots on the game’s maps and the heroes’ unusual interactions with them.

There is no shortage of examples that have gone viral, such as a little-known spot on the Esperanca map, potentially giving players an advantage during clashes. Even though they were a veteran player, another member of the Overwatch 2 community discovered an unusual interaction with the Busan train that they hadn’t known about for years. A third player accidentally found the perfect location for Torbjorn’s turrets in Numbami, creating a painful obstacle for opponents. Now, another discovery has been revealed, but related to the shooter’s next hero.

Reddit user Tewps discovered that Hazard can climb very high in Lijiang Tower, one of the game’s control maps. They shared a short video showing how, by using the skills of Overwatch 2‘s newest tank, it’s possible to climb the map’s structures and reach an impressive height, with a privileged view not only of the map but also of the surrounding city. Although the OP can’t stay on top of one of the towers for long, the other players were impressed by the discovery, with one of the Redditors speculating that this interaction could be fixed.

Hazard Can Climb Incredibly High in Overwatch 2’s Lijiang Tower

This comment mentions a fix made during Overwatch 2 Season 10 that fixed a bug affecting Genji, which allowed the hero to climb walls infinitely. Another Redditor argued that this parkour chance with Hazard might not necessarily be a bug but something possible through the hero’s kit. They mentioned a statement from the devs that talked about the new hero being able to climb short walls using this passive Vault and combine it with the ability Jagged Wall, which shoots a projectile that sticks to surfaces, to reach higher areas.

Hazard will be Overwatch 2‘s 42nd playable hero who, after a brief test period at the end of November, will be added to the game in Season 14. The charismatic leader of the Phreaks will also be the 13th tank to debut in the game, which welcomes a new hero after Mauga’s debut in December last year. The addition of the hero is one of the main pieces of content for the next season, which, although not many details have been confirmed, might bring back Overwatch 2‘s annual Winter Wonderland event.
