Want to become better friends with the rich and powerful Zeki in Palia? To do this, like with any other character in the game, you will need to talk to him, give him gifts, and complete quests given to you that often require you to get random items for him. One of these quests is the Magical Mystery Machine.

This quest will appear when you reach level 3 in your friendship with Zeki. It has a few tasks that aren’t as straightforward as some players might like, making it difficult to complete. Here’s how you can finish it with ease.

How to Unlock Magical Mystery Machine in Palia

In order to unlock the Magical Mystery Machine quest in Palia, you will first need to build up your friendship with Zeki. You can do this by chatting with him and giving him some gifts. He can be found in the General Store most days in Kilima Village. His favorite gifts include:

Make sure to give him a gift every day to boost your friendship more quickly. The Magical Mystery Machine quest will unlock once your friendship reaches level 3, so you will need to complete two other quests before you unlock this one, for level 1 and level 2. Once you’ve done this, just visit Zeki again, and you’ll get the Magical Mystery Machine.

How to Complete Magical Mystery Machine in Palia

To get started on the quest, you will want to figure out the type of bar that Zeki needs. This will be an Iron Bar, which you can make in a Basic Smelter. You will need to make 5 Iron Bars, which will require a total of 25 pieces of Iron Ore. If you’d prefer not to make your own, you can also purchase Iron Bars from the Blacksmith for 260 Gold each.

Then, return to Zeki and hand over the 5 Iron Bars to him. Next, you will need to wait until you hear back from Zeki. He will send you a letter in the mail detailing that he needs a source of magic for his invention, which will be a glowing bug or fish. The best option here is to pick up a Paper Lantern Bug, which can be found in the following areas in Bahari Bay at nighttime only:

• Proudhorn Pass
• Flooded Steps
• Statue Garden

These are its most frequent locations, but you will most likely be able to find the bug in just about any open area in Bahari Bay at night, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. It will be a glowing green bug, and all you will need to do is throw a Smoke Bomb at it from a distance and then pick it up from the ground.

Now, return to Zeki and hand over the Paper Lantern Bug. He will give you his room key, which you can head into and talk to him again. Then, interact with the Douplifier machine on the left side of his room and approach him afterward. This will complete the request, and you will get an Apple Tree Seed, a Golden Salmon, 600 Gold, and 25 Renown in return, as well as a boost to your friendship with Zeki.
