Pal Fluids are an essential crafting component needed to progress in the early stretches of Palworld. As the name suggests, you can expect to find this resource directly from Pals, though not all of them can drop it.

Palworld: How to Play With Friends

Palworld has a couple of different multiplayer options, so here’s how to explore the world and catch Pals with friends.

Much of the Palworld early game is spent setting up your home and running around while collecting resources and Pals as you go. It won’t take long before you realize that everything you need in the tutorial can be found in the starting island, and that includes Pal Fluids. Here’s where to find some.

Where to Find Pal Fluids in Palworld

Pengullet habitats in Palworld's starting zone

You can get Pal Fluids by knocking out wild Water-type Pals. Early in the game, the best way to get Pal Fluids is to hunt Pengullets, which you can find hanging around near rivers, beaches, and waterways. There are almost always a few Pengullets down the base of the Plateau of Beginnings, along with the likes of Foxparks and Eikthyrdeer. Just follow the waterfall and you’ll come across one eventually.

The annoying part about Pengullets is they tend to run away once they see you. Running at them with a club or a spear won’t do you any favors, so you’ll either have to approach them sneakily (by pressing C to crouch) or use a bow. Once you do hit them, they’ll fight back using fast-moving Ice Missiles. These are pretty easy to dodge, and the long casting time leaves the Pengullet open to attack. Knock one out to get some Pal Fluids and Ice Organs.

A wild Pengullet in Palworld

It’s best to keep a few Pengullets in your base instead of hunting all of them — they’re one of the best pals you can get early in Palworld. These guys can water plants, operate Crushers, and do general handiwork jobs like Lamballs and Cattivas. They perform decently well in combat as well, though they do get outshined by other Pals with better attack skills.

Pal Fluids are needed to craft Hot Springs, a facility meant to restore the SAN of Pals while they remain on your base. SAN management is crucial to keeping your Pals working efficiently — those with low SAN will start slacking off and ignoring their jobs. Pals will automatically go to a Hot Spring should they feel the need to, though you can always pick one up and throw them into the water if they’re being stubborn. It may be a good idea to have multiple Hot Springs in your base, especially once you start having dozens of Pals doing assorted jobs.
