A talented Pokemon fan has shared a new take on the Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia, impressing other fans. Pokemon has introduced numerous evolution methods over the years, giving Pokemon new forms and powers, and it’s no different with Dialga and Palkia.
Dialga and Palkia, Pokemon Gen 4 legendaries, were created by Arceus as representations of time and space. Dialga, in its regular form, resembles a sauropod with large legs, blue and light stripes, and metallic parts. Palkia, on the other hand, has a theropod design in shades of purple, white, and pink. As well as possessing powerful regular forms, the duo can transform into Origin Formes by holding the Adamant Crystal (Dialga) and the Lustrous Globe (Palkia). Using the Origin Forme concept and creative references, a Pokemon fan shared their artwork showcasing Sinnoh’s Legendary duo with a new design.

Reddit user BlazetheAcceleron has given Dialga and Palkia’s Origin Formes an impressive makeover. Unlike Dialga’s original design, this new version turns the Pokemon into an arachnid whose legs have dangerous claws, and the fin-like structure on its back has a web. The design of Dialga’s head and the diamond on its chest remain almost the same, with a few visual adjustments. While Origin Forme Dialga has a take inspired by Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Origin Forme Palkia seeks inspiration from horror, with a design combining an octopus with Cthulhu, the iconic creature from Lovecraftian mythology. The result is a Palkia with frightening tentacles, whose terrifying eyes live up to the huge power of this Pokemon.
Pokemon Fan Surprises With Impressive Design For Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia
According to Pokemon lore, the Origin Formes are said to be Dialga and Palkia’s true appearances. Origin Forme Dialga has a hybrid design of a dragon and a centaur and, at the same time, refers to Arceus, the oldest Pokemon in existence. The same goes for Origin Forme Palkia, which abandons its theropod-like design to also become a combination of centaur and dragon. Both Dialga and Palkia can switch between the two forms, having access to more powerful versions of their signature moves, Roar of Time and Spacial Rend, when in Origin Forme.
Pokemon fans used the comments section of BlazetheAcceleron’s post to praise their artwork, with part of the comments choosing Origin Forme Palkia as their favorite design, praising the execution of the concept. After Pokemon Legends: Arceus revealed this powerful variant of Dialga and Palkia, fans are still curious to know which Pokemon will get new evolutions in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and whether any of them will be as powerful as the Origin Forms.
