A talented Pokemon fan created beautiful watercolor paintings of Charmander, Umbreon, and Mew. Each of the Pokemon are popular among fans for various reasons: Charmander is one of the original starter Pokemon, Umbreon is an Eeveelution form, and Mew is a well-known Legendary Pokemon in the franchise.
The Pokemon franchise now has over 1,000 monsters with the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and their DLC. The sheer number of Pokemon has given people many references for their fan art, which is usually made using traditional art styles and other unique methods. One of the go-to types of fan art is painting Pokemon in one’s own style, like making a renaissance painting of Psyduck.
Pokemon Fan Designs ‘Sun Ball’ Poke Ball Variant
A fan artist from the Pokemon community creates their very own custom Poke Ball design, offering a counterpart to the existing Moon Ball variant.
The latest Pokemon paintings to catch people’s eye were the watercolor paintings by Reddit user galaxisrain. They drew and painted Charmander, Shiny Umbreon, and Shiny Mew with galaxy-inspired backgrounds. The artist also added pops of bright color and stars to make the Pokemon stand out from the pages.
The artist also asked fellow Pokemon fans to choose their favorite watercolor painting among the three. Many chose Shiny Umbreon because of its vibrant colors, especially on its rings. Shiny Mew came in a close second as fans seemed to love its dreamy blue color. Meanwhile, fans also showed their love for galaxisrain’s Charmander, noting that it looks cute and animated.
Apart from drawing Pokemon in their original and shiny designs, Pokemon fans have also been loving creating Paradox versions of their favorite monsters. With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introducing Paradox forms, fans have been inspired to create their own Paradox Pokemon in ancient and future forms. One even correctly predicted the Paradox form of Raikou, namely Raging Bolt. This just shows that the franchise continues to create unique monsters as it expands its universe, both in the games and the animated series.
Lately, Pokemon fans have been busy finishing Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s Indigo Disk DLC. It follows after the events of the Teal Mask DLC, where the main character attends the Blueberry Academy and battles their way through the BB League. The Indigo Disk also has a Terrarium operating under the power of terrastal energy, where players can explore and catch Pokemon in contained biomes. Although Pokemon Scarlet and Violet had a rocky start when they launched, the innovations they introduced resonated well with many players. It’s possible they might see some of these features in future Pokemon games.
