Highlights
- Pokemon GO players have new Field Research Breakthrough rewards to earn in World of Wonders.
- The Field Research Breakthrough rewards change with each new season.
- Dubwool, Hisuian Sneasel, and Sandygast are featured alongside three reward Pokemon returning from last season.
Now that Season 14, World of Wonders, is underway, Pokemon GO players have three new Pokemon they can potentially get from Field Research Breakthrough rewards. Field Research breakthrough rewards challenge Pokemon GO players to complete at least one Field Research task on seven different days. Anyone that successfully does this gets rewarded with a special Field Research Breakthrough reward, which includes helpful items and a Pokemon encounter.
The kind of Pokemon offered in Pokemon GO Field Research Breakthrough rewards have varied dramatically over the years. There once was a time when Field Research Breakthrough rewards were the only realistic way Pokemon GO players in rural areas could get Legendary Pokemon, but the rewards have offered more common Pokemon since then. The Field Research Breakthrough rewards change with the seasons, and now there are three new Pokemon to get from them along with three that have been retained from last season.
Pokemon GO Reveals March 2024 Community Day Pokemon
Pokemon GO officially reveals the featured Pokemon for the upcoming March 2024 Community Day, scheduled to be held on March 16.
Returning from Pokemon GO Timeless Travels are Furfrou, Goomy, and Jangmo-o, while Lapras, Galarian Weezing, and Galarian Mr. Mime have been swapped out in favor of Hisuian Sneasel, Sandygast, and Dubwool. The Furfrou, Goomy, Jangmo-o, Hisuian Sneasel, Sandygast, and Dubwool lineup will be available until Pokemon GO World of Wonders comes to an end on June 1, at which point it’s likely that Field Research Breakthrough rewards pool will get another shake-up.

Pokemon GO wild spawns and egg hatch pools have also undergone some significant changes with the launch of World of Wonders. Players can expect fresh Pokemon hatching out of 2, 5, 7, and 10km Eggs, new Pokemon will be spawning in Cities, Forests, Mountains, etc. Needless to say, the World of Wonders should present a great opportunity for Pokemon GO players to fill out their Pokedex.
These pool changes are really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Pokemon GO World of Wonders. This season is also seeing the return of Ultra Beasts, with Pokemon GO players having the chance to add Poipole to their collection. A new Special Research quest, fittingly titled World of Wonders, is also live and is seemingly all about Poipole. Pokemon GO players will have the chance to catch other Ultra Beasts this season as well.
Combine all this with the usual Community Day events and other surprises, and it’s clear that Pokemon GO players are going to be plenty busy this season. There should be a lot to look forward to next season as well, as Season 15 will overlap with Pokemon GO Fest and all the exciting festivities associated with that annual celebration.
