Highlights

  • Pokemon GO player frustrated by full Item Bag unable to purchase Great Storage Box, highlighting need for increased storage options.
  • Despite changes and controversies, Pokemon GO remains popular with fans eagerly anticipating new updates and potential future projects.
  • Fans prep for Pokemon Day, hoping for exciting announcements for Pokemon GO and the franchise as a whole, including new events and games.

One Pokemon GO player found out their Item Bag was too full to purchase the Great Storage Box. Any Pokemon GO player can relate to running out of space after a while, which is precisely why Niantic offers increased storage options in the in-game store. Frustratingly, and a bit ironically, one player found they could not purchase the Great Storage Box, which includes additional Item Bag space, because their Item Bag was already full.

Despite not reaching the same popularity as when it launched in the summer of 2016, Pokemon GO still remains one of the biggest mobile games on the market thanks to regular updates and new features. That said, not every new tweak is received well by the community. For example, a recent controversial change to Pokemon GO for Android users now forces players to redeem codes through the web store rather than the app itself. Still, with Pokemon Day right around the corner, fans of the franchise are looking forward to updates for the mobile game as well as other potential future projects.

Pokemon GO Reportedly Had Major Annual Revenue Drop

A new report discloses information about Pokemon GO’s annual revenue, and the information is potentially bad news for Niantic’s game.

Reddit user Puzzleheaded_Leg703 posted a screenshot of their Pokemon GO game telling them that their Item Bag is too full to purchase the Great Storage Box. Considering additional item storage is part of the Great Storage Box package, the community can certainly understand the player’s frustration. As one commenter puts it, it’s kind of “like buying a pair of scissors and you need scissors to get them out of the packaging.” To solve this issue, Puzzleheaded_Leg703 claims they had to first purchase more storage space before grabbing the Great Storage Box.

More Potential Changes Coming To Pokemon GO

With Pokemon Day coming up on February 27, fans are prepping for presumed events that may potentially be announced for Pokemon GO. Pokemon Day has become not only an annual celebration of the series but also a time to announce new events in existing games and wholly new projects as well. Pokemon GO has revealed next season’s Community Day and event dates, but the mobile game likely has some more surprises in store for players. Of course, The Pokemon Company will also look to announce more than just Pokemon GO updates.

Fans are not only expecting to get updates for Pokemon GO, but they are also hoping to see what to expect from Pokemon in 2024 as a whole. Now that both waves of DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been released, fans are eagerly awaiting news of the next console title. What that next game could be is still anyone’s guess at the moment.

Some are expecting to see Pokemon Gold and Silver news at next week’s Pokemon Presents, thanks to a short video from the company’s official YouTube channel. Nothing has yet been confirmed, but luckily, fans won’t have to wait long to see what The Pokemon Company has in store for Pokemon GO and the rest of the franchise.
