Pokemon GO players have an exciting event to look forward to in March 2024 with the upcoming Weather Week event bringing some special opportunities players won’t want to miss. Coming off the heels of last month’s Sinnoh Tour, Pokemon GO has been having a solid 2024 so far, and this month looks to continue this trend as it kicks off the game’s World of Wonders season, which lasts through June. On top of Weather Week 2024, Pokemon GO players can also look forward to March’s Community Day, as well as the special Verdant Wonders Event.

A huge part of what makes Pokemon GO so fun is the chance to catch rare shiny variants of the game’s critters, and these monthly events give players a great opportunity to add to their shiny collection. Pokemon GO tends to boost the odds of finding a shiny Pokemon during these types of events, and March’s Community Day and Weather Week are no different. In addition to new opportunities for finding shinies, Pokemon GO players will also be able to catch some fearsome Legendaries who make their return to Raids this month as well.

Weather Week runs from March 14-18 and puts several Pokemon related to different types of weather in the spotlight, making them appear more frequently during that type of weather. Castform is the obvious star of this event, and all four Castform forms will be available as rewards for different Field Research tasks. Additionally, Weather Week will include Raids that feature additional creatures with increased shiny odds, like Charizard, Drampa, Regice, and even Mega Tyranitar.

March 2024’s Community Day is Saturday, March 16, and features the Gen 7 starter Litten as the spotlight critter. Like the other events this month, Litten will have an increased chance to be shiny during Community Day, so players won’t want to miss their chance to catch a fantastic shiny to add to their collections. Players who evolve their Litten all the way up to Incineroar during this event or within five hours after it ends will also have the chance to teach it the special Charged Attack Blast Burn.

Pokemon GO’s Verdant Wonders Event

Verdant Wonders is another Pokemon GO event that runs between March 21-25, but it differs from the other events this month in that it requires players to purchase a ticket in order to participate. However, for Pokemon GO players wanting to complete their Pokedex, a ticket might be worth the purchase since this event features the Gen 8 Mythical Zarude for players who have yet to add it to their collection to obtain. Beyond this info, not much else is known about this event, but the nature of a ticketed event suggests it will feature other special bonuses exclusive to those who purchase a ticket.

Pokemon GO is set to feature the return of some popular Legendaries and Mega Evolutions in Raids during the month of March 2024. Along with Mega Sceptile, Mega Tyranitar, and Mega Venusaur appearing in Mega Raids, players will have the chance to obtain Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon on their featured Raid days this month. To make things even more exciting, more Shadow Legendaries will appear in Raids this month as well, including Shadow Raikou, who has the chance to be shiny, and Shadow Mewtwo.
