Ready or Not features 18 maps in total, and players will want to play them in a certain order if they want to understand the bigger picture.

The full release of Ready or Not introduced several additional maps that were unavailable in early access. More importantly, the game received a single-player campaign that tells interconnected stories between crime rings, their victims, and their effect on the city of Los Sueños in general.

All missions in Ready or Not will be immediately available to players in multiplayer, and they’ll be able to choose whatever mission they want right off the bat. However, for those who want to experience the game’s lore and story as naturally as possible, here’s what missions they should play first.

Some maps are related to others, and together, they form the bigger picture regarding the cases going on around the city. These connections aren’t made immediately noticeable to players, though, and they’ll have to connect the dots themselves if they want to experience the full story of each connected crime scene. Here’s what we’ve been able to piece together so far based on the crimes committed in each map:

Crime

Map

Child Pornography Distribution

  • 23 Megabytes A Second
  • The Spider
  • Sinuous Trail
  • Valley of the Dolls

Meth Distribution

  • Thank You, Come Again
  • Twisted Nerve

Militant Extremism

  • Ides of March
  • Sons of the Father
  • A Lethal Obsession

Terrorism

Illegal Arms Trade

  • Ends of the Earth

  • Rust Belt
  • Buy Cheap, Buy Twice
  • Port Hokan
  • Elephant

Murder and Assault

These associations are based on information available in each of the missions, including mission briefs and evidence found from secondary objectives and the personal logs of suspects. This isn’t a strict list of interconnected maps, and some (particularly Port Hokan) are connected to a much wider web of conspiracies. Players don’t have to play the game in this particular order, but if they want to connect the stories of each map by themselves, then this list should prove to be a good starting point.
