A Red Dead Redemption 2 fan has re-created the iconic town of Valentine within the massively popular battle royale, replicating some of the town’s most iconic locations. The world of the beloved cowboy shooter from Rockstar is filled with a variety of unique locations for players to visit, with memorable NPCs and buildings. From early-game settlements like Valentine and Emerald Ranch to the game’s largest cities in Blackwater and Saint Denis, Red Dead Redemption 2‘s expansive map offers plenty of places to explore. Now, one of the game’s most recognizable towns has been re-made in Fortnite.

Within the wide world of Red Dead Redemption 2, Valentine is the first town players visit after the game’s introductory segments in the mountains. Valentine is a vibrant farming town filled with plenty for players to do between its saloon, the Van der Linde gang’s nearby camping site, and an abundance of side quests. Valentine also plays a major role in Red Dead Redemption 2‘s early story, setting the plot into motion with the gang’s run-ins with law enforcement in the town. Now, a Fortnite player has re-imagined the iconic town in the battle royale.

Reddit user semppis shared their Red Dead Redemption 2-inspired creation on the franchise’s subreddit, showing off their re-creation of Valentine in Fortnite. The images showcase several of the most iconic locations within Valentine, including both the town sheriff’s office and the Valentine general store. The user also reveals some of the boxes and items found around the city streets were removed, with Red Dead Redemption 2 acting as a cover-based shooter as opposed to Fortnite. A reply from the creator also boasts that the houses have “semi-accurate interiors.”

The impressive Fortnite creation saw many Red Dead Redemption fans clamoring for more representation within the battle royale. Several fans agreed that Red Dead Redemption would make a fitting official crossover for Fortnite, expressing the high potential for character skins and new guns. Some also praised Fortnite‘s 2.0 update for the game’s Creative Mode, with players able to pull assets from the Unreal store to use in Fortnite. The creator’s reply also shared the code for other players to access the Valentine map in Fortnite.


Red Dead Redemption 2‘s newest fan creation in Fortnite comes as many fans have speculated about the future of the beloved cowboy shooter franchise. Rockstar recently brought the original Red Dead Redemption to modern platforms, re-releasing the classic game on PS4 and Switch last August. Fans have also heavily speculated about an eventual Red Dead Redemption 3, with Arthur Morgan actor Roger Clark feeling a third game will definitely happen. The re-imagining of Valentine brings a slice of the mega-popular cowboy game into the beloved battle royale.
