The reputable Sega insider, Midori, has hinted at the existence of a couple of promising projects that could be in the works at Persona and Shin Megami Tensei developer Atlus. If these teases come to fruition, then it could signify that the company’s release schedule for the next few years is even more stacked than it already is, which is likely to excite many Atlus fans.

Throughout the last couple of months, Atlus has treated their fans to a number of high-quality releases, including the critically acclaimed remake Persona 3 Reload and the strategy RPGs Unicorn Overlord and Persona 5 Tactica. The company is still set to launch Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and Metaphor ReFantazio later on in 2024 as well. With all these games, it looks like the JRPG developer’s consistent release cadence isn’t set to slow down anytime soon. In fact, recent rumors indicate that Atlus is planning to double down even further by annualizing franchises like Persona with the release of new games, spin-offs, expansions, remakes, remasters, and/or other forms of media on a yearly schedule. Aside from titles like Persona 6, there are two rumored Atlus projects in particular, though, that could end up being a big deal for many fans of the developer.

Rumor: New Persona Game Announcement May Be Coming in June 2024

Atlus may be preparing a new Persona game announcement for June 2024, according to some newly surfaced circumstantial evidence.

In a recent set of posts on Twitter, Midori hinted at the existence of an upcoming Persona spin-off that features characters from the entire Persona series. The notable Sega insider first teased this potential title in a poll she posted on April 29. This is especially noteworthy, considering the fact that Midori previously held a similar poll in January asking Twitter users if they would purchase a remake of Persona 3 FES‘s The Answer in DLC format. Of course, Atlus officially announced exactly that with the EpisodeAigis expansion weeks later. Midori then claimed in a subsequent tweet that future spin-offs in the franchise would contain “all Persona series characters,” but primarily those from Persona 3, 4, and 5. It’s unknown if this rumored Persona spin-off is more like the Mario Party-style mobile game that was allegedly in development at one point or the Persona Q games on the Nintendo 3DS.

In addition, Midori also held a poll that might be teasing a potential PC port of Catherine: Full Body, the 2019 re-release of Atlus’s cult classic Xbox 360/PS3 puzzle game. While the original version of the title launched on Steam a few years ago, the Catherine: Full Body definitive edition was only released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch in the West. Given that Atlus has embraced multi-platform releases lately, a PC port of this game wouldn’t be all that surprising. In fact, if Catherine: Full Body is ported to more platforms, it could even come to Xbox as well.

Atlus Might Have Many New Games and Re-Releases to Keep Fans Busy Until The Release of Persona 6

As gamers patiently wait for Persona 6, Atlus seemingly has a number of unannounced games and ports in store to tide fans over until the release of what may be one of the best Sega-published JRPGs ever. With all these rumors swirling around, it looks like exciting times are ahead for Atlus fans.
