A Skyrim fan created a real-life talking Meridia sculpture that looks exactly like its in-game counterpart. The Daedric Prince of Life is depicted just as she looks in her Skyrim shrine, holding her hand up in an imposing posture. The bottom part of the statue features two smaller figures holding hands below Meridia’s Beacon, a white orb that looks like it could be made of marble.

Skyrim is an immensely popular game perhaps best known for its emphasis on player freedom. It is safe to say that its immense open world and countless memorable quests have greatly contributed to the title’s enduring popularity. One of the most interesting features that sets Skyrim apart from other titles is the existence of several creative Daedric Quests. Skyrim’s Daedric Quests often involve undertaking some unforgettable actions, such as sacrificing a follower or dealing with a cannibal cult, rewarding players with some unique pieces of equipment once they’ve completed their quest.

A Skyrim enthusiast shows off their culinary talents by recreating some of the most iconic meals and snacks found in the game.

A Reddit user named hxc0de crafted a stunning ancient-looking Meridia statuette by 3D printing its model, and then adding an MP3 sound chip module that triggers the Lady of Infinite Energies’ iconic voice line: “A new hand touches the beacon.” The sound activates with the help of a magnetic reed switch whenever Meridia’s Beacon is removed from the sculpture. For fans who want to print their own version of the statue, the Reddit user also provided a link to the original printable 3D Meridia’s Shrine initially created by Jukka Seppanen.

Hxc0de’s custom project turned out to be immensely popular online, as their post is currently sitting at almost 5k upvotes. Countless Reddit users have expressed their appreciation for the Skyrim piece, with many even expressing their interest in purchasing it. Others have suggested that a similar concept designed as a doorbell or as a car alarm would be even more interesting.

For those unaware, Meridia is the benevolent Daedric Prince of Life, a powerful being who has an immense hatred for the Undead. Meridia’s challenging quest in Skyrim is called The Break of Dawn and is automatically triggered whenever a player finds and loots Meridia’s Beacon, which can be hidden inside any boss chest as soon as a player hits level 12. Upon looting the item, Meridia’s voice can be heard loudly directing the player to her shrine. This has become somewhat of a meme in the Skyrim community as many gamers feel that her beacon’s sudden appearance is often annoying as it interrupts the player’s current activities and gameplay flow.
