Where to Find Silenced Weapons
Considering how deadly every shootout in Stalker 2 can be, players need to be wise when it comes to picking fights. While a lot of the Zone’s denizens will shoot you on sight, you can save yourself some trouble by sneaking and taking them out before they can get the jump on you. This is where stealth takedowns come in.
Sneaky takedowns are a staple in any immersive sim with stealth elements, and here, you can silence enemies all sneaky-beaky like with your knife for as much as you want. Stealth takedowns are very handy when playing on Stalker 2’s highest difficulty, and it’s something every player should know how to do.

How to Stealth Kill in Stalker 2
Skif’s knife isn’t just for breaking boxes and boards. If you find yourself in a situation where you want to save yourself the trouble of fighting an entire enemy camp, you can sneak behind an enemy, take out your knife, and press your Fire button to do a stealth kill. Wait for Skif to raise his knife before you attack. Otherwise, he’ll do a normal knife attack that has a fairly low chance of killing an enemy outright.
Animations for knife takedowns take a little while to finish, so make sure there are no enemies nearby, or the ones that are close are looking away. Keep in mind that you can pick bodies up and hide them somewhere if you don’t want to alert other enemies. Keep in mind that this won’t work on mutants like Poltergeists.
Stealth in Stalker 2 is a little iffy. You should have no trouble hiding from enemies if there’s something solid between you and them. However, if you walk out into the open while they’re facing your general direction, then there’s a good chance that they’ll notice you. As such, stealth takedowns tend to work best in linear areas, such as the underground facility under the Dome in the Lesser Zone.
Where to Find Silenced Weapons
If you can’t rely on your knife for stealth kills, then guns are the way to go. Suppressed weapons can help you take out entire enemy camps without alerting anyone (if you’re good enough). You can occasionally find silenced guns in certain stashes or as part of quests.
You can also find suppressors in stashes, and some vendors might have them for sale as well. There’s a pistol suppressor for the PTM pistol near the start of the game. During the Dangerous Visitors quest in Stalker 2, go inside the building where Gloomy is, and open the stash at the end of the second floor. Inside is a Viper-5, some supplies, and a silencer that you can attach to Skif’s service pistol.
Silencers in Stalker 2 do not break, nor do they harm your weapons’ performance in any meaningful way. Use them on your weapons, and make sure to aim for the head to secure those quick kills.
