First released back in March 2019, The Division 2 is still chugging along, having just released its Year 6 Season 2 update. While the core experience has stayed the same all these years, The Division 2 has had plenty of major updates, with some of the most memorable aiding new raids and game modes. But while updates are frequent in The Division 2, crossovers are considered a rarity, which makes its recent STALKER 2 collab so intriguing.

Over a decade in the making, STALKER 2 has finally hit store shelves. A challenging survival game set in the Exclusion Zone surrounding Chornobyl, STALKER 2 shares some general setting similarities with The Division 2, and the latter’s most recent update has added some crossover content that celebrates the two series’ subtle link.

For those unfamiliar with the STALKER series, here are some useful tips to keep in mind while playing STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

The Division 2’s STALKER 2 Apparel Bundle Explained

The Division 2 Has Added Three Outfits Inspired By STALKER 2

Available as of November 19, The Division 2 has just added an apparel bundle inspired by the STALKER series. This bundle adds three unique outfits pulled directly from STALKER‘s universe, with all three being wearable outfits in STALKER: Shadow of Chornobyl and appearing in the recently released STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

The Monolith Uniform references STALKER‘s Monolith faction, a group of zealots who have formed a religion around a mysterious artifact located at the heart of the Zone that supposedly grants wishes. The Sunrise Uniform is one of STALKER‘s most iconic, being most commonly worn by those in the Loner faction and the game’s eponymous group of scavengers/adventurers. The SEVA-D Uniform references one of STALKER‘s most useful suits, renowned for its protection against both the Zone’s hazardous elements and gunfire.

Set against the backdrop of a pandemic that’s caused anarchy in the US’ capitol state, The Division 2 features a fairly similar setting to STALKER 2, with players needing to explore a devastated land and fight their way through various different factions. As such, The Division 2‘s new STALKER skins feel right at home in the Ubisoft multiplayer game.

The Division 2’s STALKER 2 Bundle Costs 3000 Credits

But there’s a pretty big catch to The Division 2‘s STALKER bundle, and that’s its price. To obtain all three STALKER skins, players will need to spend 3000 Credits, which roughly translates to about $30. With such a high price tag, this STALKER bundle might feel like less of a celebration to some fans, and more like a bit of a cash grab that’s trying to capitalize on the current excitement about STALKER 2‘s launch.

Despite being around for over five years, and growing alongside games like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, The Division 2 has had a surprising lack of pop-culture crossovers. The game’s first crossover came in June 2021, when The Division 2 collaborated with Resident Evil for the latter’s 25th anniversary. While this collab event did come with plenty of premium skins that cost Credits, it also gave players a free Leon Kennedy R.P.D. outfit.

The Division 2
‘s only other crossover was with
Splinter Cell
back in June 2023, where players could obtain a Sam Fisher outfit by buying the Season Track.

It would have been nice to have seen a similar approach with The Division 2‘s STALKER collaboration, letting players obtain one outfit for free to celebrate the launch of STALKER 2, and then charge Credits for the rest.
