Underworld is an early main quest in Star Wars Outlaws that requires players to steal a file from Gorak, the head of the Pyke crime syndicate. While the quest itself seems straightforward, one objective—Infiltrate Gorak’s Base—can trip up many players. The challenge? You must remain undetected throughout, which can be tricky given the base’s heavy Pyke soldier presence (and Star Wars Outlaws’ not-so-convenient stealth mechanics).
Despite this difficulty, there’s a straightforward method to infiltrate Gorak’s base and secure the file without being caught. Follow this guide and use these quick tips to navigate the mission easily.

The Underworld quest takes place after you break into Gorak’s suite. It has five main objectives:
- Infiltrate Gorak’s base.
- Disable enemy barrier.
- Escape the base.
- Return to Danka.
- Pick your side.
Here’s how to complete each step.
How to Infiltrate Gorak’s Base
1. Enter the base through the vent. There’s an open vent on the right flank of the building, next to the main entrance. Use it to sneak in.
2. Avoid the guards by moving behind the boxes. Pyke soldiers patrol the base, so head towards the objective marker when they’re not around. Alternatively, you can use another vent inside the base—near the stairs—to bypass the initial guards.
3. Climb the wall next to the guarded room. You’ll find a door guarded by two soldiers. Climb the wall on the side to reach the balcony. (Take out the guard near the wall if necessary.)
4. Unlock the maintenance room door with your Data Spike. Press the RT button to synchronize with the flickering light.
5. Enter the backroom through the vent in the maintenance room. It’s located in the far back corner.
6. Lower the turbolifts. There are two buttons, each controlling one turbolift. Use Nix to activate them.
7. Deactivate the fans. Have Nix open the shutter and shoot the energy core to stop the fans.
8. Proceed along the path until you reach the Pyke Stronghold. Use your grapple to jump over the obstacles.
Tap up on the D-pad to scan the area. This will reveal the location of nearby enemies, even if they are behind walls.
How to Disable the Energy Barrier
There’s an Energy Barrier in the Pyke Stronghold blocking your path. Disable it by shooting the two energy cores it’s connected to. (Trace the cables above the locked door to locate the batteries.)
For a stealthy approach, avoid shooting the energy cores, as the explosion will alert the guards. Instead, use the nearby levers to turn them off. (If the Pyke soldiers detect you, it won’t restart the checkpoint but will lead to a brief combat encounter.)
How to Escape the Base
After stealing the SK01 file, escape Gorak’s base via the elevator cavity. Open the door across from the computer, jump onto the fenced walls in front of you, and climb all the way up to exit the room. Follow the path, and you’ll eventually make it out of Gorak’s base, completing the objective.
Should You Side with Crimson Dawn or Pyke Syndicate?
Upon infiltrating and escaping Gorak’s base, return to Danka to decide whether to align with Crimson Dawn or the Pyke Syndicates. Choose the criminal organization you want to collaborate with for additional missions. While siding with either group won’t alter the story’s progression, it will enhance your reputation with your chosen faction.
Siding with Crimson Dawn grants you access to stealth items, while aligning with the Pyke Syndicate unlocks combat gear.
