Stardew Valley: How to Get and Use Stardrop Tea

Update 1.6 for Stardew Valley is finally out, bringing a ton of content, including new events, NPC dialogs, items, and much more. One such new item is the mysterious Stardrop Tea, a purple-coloured drink in a purple cup. Although there are many other strange items in the game, this one has captured the attention of the community, and if you are one of them, we will show you how to get and use Stardrop Tea in Stardew Valley. In fact, this drink will be very useful for you and your relationships with NPCs, so having it in stock will be an advantage.

How to Get Stardrop Tea in Stardew Valley

Currently, there are two ways to get Stardrop Tea. You can either get it through the newly introduced prize machine in the Mayor’s house or find it in the Gold Treasure Chest while fishing.

Mayor’s Prize Machine

When you enter the Mayor’s manor, you will see a new prize machine on the left side of the house. By interacting with it, you can use tickets to try your luck and redeem various rewards, including Stardrop Tea. The rewards in this machine can be different, but you will always know what you will get because the interface of the prize machine will show the current and two subsequent rewards. To get tickets to the prize machine, you will need to complete quests, special orders, and win at the Egg and Ice festivals.

Fishing

Another way to get Stardrop Tea is through the Golden Treasure Chest, which has a chance to drop while fishing provided that you have Fishing Skill Mastery. Finding such a chest and then Stardrop Tea in it is quite difficult and time-consuming because everything depends on RNG. So if you are poor at fishing, it is better to use the Mayor’s Prize Machine.

How to Use Stardrop Tea in Stardew Valley

Unlike other consumable items such as Coffee that will restore your energy or health, Stardrop Tea is a non-consumable Artisan Good, so it is best used as a gift. This tea is a unique item because, unlike other presents, you can gift it as many times per week as you like, regardless of the two-gift limit. Everyone loves it, and when it is gifted, your friendship with the recipient will increase by one heart.

To make the most out of it, wait for the character’s birthday or the Winter Star Festival, during which a Stardrop Tea gift will increase your friendship by a whole three hearts. Combined with the fact that you can gift another present on this day, this tea will be incredibly useful for boosting friendships with someone.
