Sproings in the Twilight Forest may not have any secret exits, but that doesn’t mean that it’s an easy course. In fact, despite only having a two-star difficulty rating, it’s arguably one of the hardest stages to fully complete in the first world of Super Mario Bros. Wonder due to the way that the course is lit.
As its name suggests, Sproings in the Twilight Forest takes place during twilight hours, resulting in the foreground of the stage being almost completely dark. This can make it difficult for Super Mario Bros. Wonder players to spot some of the Wonder Flowers and even more so to actually reach them.
Updated November 10th, 2023: Sproings in the Twilight Forest is one of the most interesting levels that players will come across in Super Mario Wonder early on. The entire level is cloaked in shadow, making it a bit difficult to see what is going on, which can make it harder for players to snag 100 percent completion here. To better help players find everything in Sproings in the Twilight Forest in Super Mario Wonder, the following guide has been updated and now includes a companion video.
Sproings in the Twilight Forest 100% Completion
In order to get a green checkmark for Sproings in the Twilight Forest, players will need to reach the top of the flagpole while also finding three Flower Coins and two Wonder Seeds. The purple coins can be a little tricky to get to due to the foreground of the course being dark, while the first of the two Wonder Seeds is easily missed, as it only shows up if players perform a certain action in a certain spot.
Sproings in the Twilight Forest Purple Flower Coin #1
Players should have no trouble finding the silhouette of the first Sproings in the Twilight Forest Flower Coin, but actually getting to it is not so simple. Players will need to use the nearby Koopa Troopa’s shell to destroy a block to the right of the platform beneath the tree. It doesn’t matter if they send the shell to the left first, as it will eventually bounce back to the right and take out the block.
Sproings in the Twilight Forest Purple Flower Coin #2
To get to the second purple coin in Sproings in the Twilight Forest, players will need to perform a couple of wall jumps to get to an area up above them. They won’t actually be able to see the two walls that they’re jumping off, but players can use the blue flower to get an idea of where they are.
Sproings in the Twilight Forest Wonder Seed #1
Players will be able to find the course’s Wonder Flower inside one of the Sproings. If they have the Elephant suit power-up they can just kill it with their trunk. If not, they’ll need to jump on its head when its spring coils back up. To find the Wonder Seed, players will need to keep heading right in their new tall form until they come to a platform with two trees on it. If they press down on the D-Pad while standing between these trees, the stage will be compressed and the Wonder Seed will appear from above.
Sproings in the Twilight Forest Purple Flower Coin #3
The last Sproings in the Twilight Forest Flower Coin can be found during the Wonder Flower section. Players should keep an eye out for a spot where they can duck down and go under the platform with the Goombas and Sproings on it, which will lead them straight to the last purple coin.
Sproings in the Twilight Forest Wonder Seed #2
Players will get the second Sproings in the Twilight Forest Wonder Seed by completing the stage. To get to the top of the flagpole, they should do a running spin jump off of the platform just before the pole and try to bounce off one of the Sproings. If needed, they can use the Parachute Cap badge to get a little extra distance without losing altitude.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
