Teamfight Tactics is back with a brand-new set known as “Magic n’ Mayhem,” launching July 31. This is the auto-battler’s 12th set, which incorporates whimsical elements into its champion skins and traits. For every set, Teamfight Tactics creates unique worlds and storylines often based on existing League of Legends IP, and Magic n’ Mayhem shows another side of magic in League‘s universe.

Magic n’ Mayhem takes place in the Magitorium, a guild where all sorts of magic are welcome and a place where champions who’ve mastered magic prove their worth through experimentation. Players can experience all the spells and chaos as they build the best Teamfight Tactics comps based on the champions’ unique traits.

Teamfight Tactics Gets Whimsical With Set 12 Champion Traits

Teamfight Tactics‘ Magic n’ Mayhem pulls a lot of inspiration from different types of magic in various media. Teamfight Tactics set lead Sam Judd said that they wanted to think outside the box to come up with more unexpected brands of magic, like Sugarcraft and Honeymancy, while also exploring fan-favorite League of Legends skinlines to match the traits.

Portal

When this trait is active, a portal opens up at the side of the board that periodically summons objects from different dimensions. The objects range from disruptive debris to items that can help allies. These also become more powerful as Portal units’ star levels increase.

Dragon

Making a comeback from Teamfight Tactics Dragonlands, Dragon champions have the ability to burn and wound their targets for five seconds. They can also get a significant upgrade when all three dragons are fielded.

Honeymancy

This trait allows Honeymancers to summon a swarm of bees that deal a small portion of the units’ damage dealt as magic damage every three seconds. If a Honeymancer dies, their bees will attach to another Honeymancer to help them in battle. Honeymancy is also inspired by one of the most popular League of Legends skins, Bees.
