Gun Interactive has revealed new cosmetics coming to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre on April 30 will be free to level 99 players. The cosmetics are a thank you to the community for devoting so many hours to the title. Additional content for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be available through the regular patch released at the same time.
Released in August 2023, the game is based off the hit slasher movie franchise. An asymmetrical multiplayer horror title, players can either be Victims or part of the Family. With the recent developer changes for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, the title offers new content to retain players and increase satisfaction.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Game Update Adding New Victim With Special Ability
Gun Interactive reveals the next character coming to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, who is voiced by a popular horror actress.
All-black cosmetics for all Family and Victims, named Blackout, will be released to players on April 30 for free. To claim the items, players will need to reach level 99. Once hit, the items will be available to unlock. If a player has already reached level 99 by April 30, the cosmetics will be automatically added. There are already a slew of character skins to unlock in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. However, the free content aims at increasing good will towards the fan base and is perfect for any death scenes players may see or be part of.
Level 99 Players Rewarded Free Content in Texas Chain Saw Massacre Game
The only character not receiving the Blackout cosmetic is the iconic Leatherface. Instead, Bubba will receive a new all-black weapon skin called Oil Slick. This was clarified in a follow-up tweet on the official Texas Chain Saw Massacre Twitter account in response to multiple questions from players. Leatherface has been a focal point for various reasons, including being a must-have character in every Texas Chain Saw Massacre match. The weapon skin does make playing him seem more appealing, especially for Bubba mains.
Along with the free content, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre‘s Sissy has a new paid skin available on April 30. The bloodstained Wildflower Outfit is priced at $2.99 and will appear after the patch goes live. This is perfect for players who want to avoid the all-black look, but still have a new skin for the killer. While a little pricey, other cosmetic items have had higher price points than that.
The Blackout cosmetics will be granted to all players once they reach level 99 in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Whether this fosters increased camaraderie between the developer and the community remains to be seen. The reward for reaching the endgame, however, does show a focus on increasing the amount of content available for high-level players.
