Cozy PS5 games are some of the best as a controller can easily be held while cuddled on the sofa without players needing to be at their desks. With this in mind, many past cozy games for the PC have made their way to consoles, such as the eagerly awaited Planet Zoo which, although it was released on PC in 2019, can now be played on consoles too. With this in mind, these are by far the best cozy games on PS5.

A great open-world experience that is available on PS5 is the relaxing adventure of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles. Yonder praises itself for the freedom and control it gives its players to set their own pace while exploring the diverse biomes of the map.

Every objective has a variety of ways it can be reached by the player as well as giving them the freedom to befriend creatures and complete their own activities in their free time. There is so much to discover players will only be able to truly understand its freedom by getting lost while playing it.

As long as the gameplay is straightforward that it allows the player to relax then it’s a cozy game. No Longer Home is a point-and-click adventure that encourages the player to let go and allow life to guide them on its own course.

Although referred to as a point-and-click adventure, No Longer Home can still be enjoyed with a controller. Although relaxing to play, this title also has quite an emotional story as it follows the life of Bo and Ao as they attempt to make ends meet. All the while, both of them reveal their dreams and fears to the player as they explore the magic of each day.

Players who are looking for PS5 games that are like Animal Crossing need to look no further than Hokko Life, a community-simulating game with a lot of charm. Players are tasked with bringing life back to the rural town of Hokko by putting together new buildings for the residents of the town.

In between the paint and brickwork, there are a variety of animal neighbors for the player to get introduced to as well as a brilliant world to explore. Not to forget the crafting furniture mechanic, which is reminiscent of My Sims and just one of many fun things to do in Hokko Life.

While solving the mysteries of Snaktooth Island players must find the scattered followers of the legendary explorer Elizabert Megafig while discovering the various half-snack, half-animal hybrid creatures that make their home on the island.

Many of the tasks set for the player by these followers include catching these food-themed creatures and feeding them to the Muppet creatures transforming their features to those of the animals they eat.

However, it is a surprisingly relaxing experience to spend a couple of hours on PowerWash Simulator, blasting various surfaces with water to clean away the dirt. Players can either take part in the story mode that will challenge them with cleaning various things from helicopters to skate parks, while being involved in a surprisingly interesting story told through texts. Players can even recruit a friend to play alongside them to make the cleaning a thing to do to relax together.

Players get whisked away to the town of Portia in this Studio Ghibli-inspired game. After creating their character and setting up their workshop players are left to help the various friendly faces they meet during their time in this new and wondrous town.

Between expanding their new home to make space to build a farm as well as other required workshop equipment, players also have the freedom to go adventuring to defeat dungeon bosses in order to transform My Time at Portia into something they will never forget.
