For immediate release: London is gearing up for a huge summer of cricket as The Hundred returns for its fifth season, bringing global cricket stars and headline music acts together to put on a show at two of the city’s most iconic venues – Lord’s and the Kia Oval.
The 100-ball format continues to raise the bar, with fast-paced games, men’s and women’s matches side-by-side and electric entertainment both on and off the pitch, making it a perfect day out for family and friends.
London will host thrilling matches featuring the likes of David Warner, Ellyse Perry, Hayley Matthews, Jos Buttler and Sophie Ecclestone alongside some of the UK’s brightest and best artists through the ongoing partnership with BBC Introducing
The tournament will kick off with The Hundred Opener and a London Derby on 5 August, with a night of high-stakes cricket at Lord’s Cricket Ground featuring London Spirit – last year’s women’s champions – and Oval Invincibles – the 2024 men’s champions.
Pop sensation Mimi Webb will take to the stage in front of a packed out crowd, which comes shortly before the much-anticipated release of her sophomore album Confessions on 12 September.

With matches taking place throughout the month of August, London teams, London Spirit and Oval Invincibles, will welcome Northern Superchargers, Welsh Fire, Birmingham Phoenix, Manchester Originals, Trent Rockets and Southern Brave to the capital as all teams will be vying for silverware. The tournament will conclude with The Hundred Eliminator at the Kia Oval on Saturday 30 August, and with The Hundred Final at Lord’s on Sunday 31 August.
