Sims can charge gemstones and jewelry in The Sims 4 to receive all sorts of benefits.
Crystals have always been a part of The Sims 4; they are one of the main base game collections. In the past, there wasn’t much to do with these items, as they didn’t have much gameplay value. All of this changed when the Crystal Creations Stuff Pack was released on February 29, 2024.
The Sims 4: Guide To Crystal Collecting
Players who intend on discovering every last crystal in The Sims 4 may need a little help getting started.
Gamers can now turn crystals into gemstones and jewelry and even take advantage of their powers. This guide will tell players how they can charge their crystals to make use of their unique effects in order to improve their Sims’ quality of life.
How to Charge Gemstones and Jewelry
Players can’t charge crystals to extract their special effects, but they can charge the gemstones and the jewelry that they craft using crystals. First, gamers must acquire the crystal charging station in Build Mode. It is called the Mystical Moonlight Crystal Grid, and they can find it by searching for its name or opening the Outdoor Activities section.
The Crystal Grid will only receive charge between 7 PM and 7 AM, as it requires moonlight to work; this also means that it needs to be placed outside. To charge gemstones and jewelry in The Sims 4, players have to place the gemstone or jewelry that they intend to charge on top of the Crystal Grid at night and wait for it to fully charge.
Crystals charge faster during a Full Moon so be sure to charge as many gemstones and jewelry as possible during this lunar phase.
When an item is charged, gamers can remove it from the Crystal Grid and add it to their Sim’s inventory. To check how long a charge will last, players can hover over the items in their inventory at any time. Gemstones and jewelry will eventually become drained. Once this happens, Sims must then recharge them to reenable their effects.
