Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC Has Already Broken One Massive FromSoftware Tradition

Very little is currently known about Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, but the upcoming expansion has already broken one FromSoft tradition.

A user named WuShane has shared a new video on Reddit featuring this battle, confirming that fans should not relax until the boss music stops. WuShane mentions that they managed to beat Godskin Noble and Godskin Apostle in Elden Ring’s Spiritcaller Cave, before deciding to take a break. As seen in the video, the background music is still going on even though the player is away, as the Spiritcaller Snail slowly approaches WuShane.

The Spiritcaller Snail lunges at the player, draining a large chunk of their health with a grab attack. It then uses the same attack a second time, ultimately defeating WuShane before they are able to get back to Elden Ring. Judging by the post’s title, it looks like the player forgot about the Spiritcaller Snail that spawns, as they made the mistake of assuming that the boss fight is over after beating Godskin Noble and Godskin Apostle.

Many users in the comments section are wondering about the reasons behind WuShane’s actions, as it’s unlikely for a player to get up while the boss music is still playing. One user states that the background music is especially dramatic for a fight against a snail, while another jokes about WuShane becoming one of its summons. Some fans are also surprised by the Spiritcaller Snail’s attack in Elden Ring, as it looks like they didn’t know it had this move in its arsenal.

Elden Ring fans have shared several videos of their tragic deaths since its release in 2022, including incidents where enemies can attack and kill players through a wall. Overall, this clip proves that gamers are never safe while playing Elden Ring, as such instances can result in their unfortunate death.
