Key Takeaways

  • FaZe Ronaldo was banned from Twitch on October 19.
  • The reasons for the ban, his fifth to date and third in 2024, are unclear.
  • Twitch labeled FaZe Ronaldo’s channel suspension as a “temporary” measure.

Twitch has banned FaZe Clan’s Rani “Ronaldo” Mach, also known by his online moniker StableRonaldo. This is the streamer’s fifth Twitch ban to date.

StableRonaldo joined Twitch in 2018 and rose to prominence with his numerous Fortnite streams. Aside from being a skilled player, he gained popularity for his energetic demeanor and sense of humor. He joined FaZe Clan in June 2022, at 19 years of age. He has largely been focused on content creation rather than competitive Fortnite play ever since.

FaZe Ronaldo’s streaming career hit a notable roadblock on Saturday, October 19, when his Twitch account was suspended. The streamer acknowledged this turn of events on Twitter, writing “I think it’s over guys, I love you all.” Despite the dramatic wording of that message, there is currently no indication that his Twitch ban is permanent. On the contrary, visiting his channel presently brings up the generic notice about how “this channel is temporarily unavailable.” Permanent Twitch bans usually come with notices that use the phrase “currently” instead of “temporarily unavailable,” as seen when visiting, e.g., Dr Disrespect’s old channel.

This Is FaZe Ronaldo’s 3rd Twitch Ban in 7 Months

The exact reason behind FaZe Ronaldo’s latest ban is unclear. The content creator was playing Fortnite on his latest stream. He didn’t speculate on what he believes prompted the suspension, and Twitch itself is not in the habit of commenting on individual account sanctions. What’s less uncertain is that the streamer is currently on a bit of a misbehavior streak, as this is his third ban since March 2024. His most recent channel suspension prior to today was back in late June, when Twitch banned StableRonaldo after he live-streamed himself driving recklessly.

None of the 21-year-old’s Twitch bans lasted more than three days. This latest one could hence be lifted before long as well, contrary to what FaZe Ronaldo’s dramatic farewell tweet suggests. The streamer is well-known for trolling his fans online, having recently done so when he announced his “retirement” on October 7, only to resume streaming shortly afterward.

Some of FaZe Ronaldo’s 1.3 million Twitter followers have already been calling for his Twitch ban to be lifted in the afternoon hours ET on October 19. This is the second roadblock his content creation efforts have encountered since September, as it was only a few weeks ago that StableRonaldo and several other FaZe Clan members got swatted during a subathon. Nobody was injured in that incident.
