Though the game is based in the Warcraft universe, mostly on World of Warcraft, Warcraft Rumble‘s approach to Quests is completely different than fans might expect. Found in the main menu, Quests are actually a kind of side-mission rather than an objective to finish during the campaign.

Warcraft Rumble Quests are a core feature, especially for Free-To-Play players, as they are the primary means by which players can target-level their minis. This guide explains exactly what Quests are in Warcraft Rumble, how to find the Quest tab, and what to expect for completing these unique XP-granting missions.

What Are Quests In Warcraft Rumble?

In Warcraft Rumble Quests are a repeatable activity that lets players directly assign XP to a mini, once the Quest is completed. Quests don’t ask players to do something unique in a level, like kill X enemies in a match or summon a mini a certain number of times. Instead, selecting a mini in the Quest screen pits players’ currently equipped Army against that mini.

Quests aren’t available right at the start of the game, the system unlocks after players have earned a total of 14 Onyxia sigils.

If players are victorious against their selected opponent in this tuned-down match, where the enemy’s armies are usually randomly generated, players will be sent back to the Quest tab. Tap on “Claim” below the defeated mini to grant them an XP reward, and to refresh the current Quest options. If XP is boosted, the reward amount will reset back to normal after the first successful quest.

Finding The Quest Screen

To get to the Quest menu, open the Map tab of the Warcraft Rumble main hub, and look for the “Quest!” icon on the bottom-left of the screen, next to the PvP icon. Tapping this opens up the Quests menu. Here, players can see the type of Quest currently available at the top of the screen as well as the total XP on offer.

Below this, players will see three options. Two minis are drawn from the player’s current Army, as of the last refresh, and one is taken at random from the rest of the collection. Once you have decided which mini to face, press “Play” to initiate a match against that opponent – be sure to prioritize troops that will level up, indicated by a green arrow next to the mini’s XP bar.

Quest XP Rewards

The total amount of XP that a mini will get from Quests is determined, in part, by players’ Collection Level. Each Collection Level rank grants a bonus to all forms of XP, including XP from Quests. The total amount being offered should be displayed at the top of the Quests menu.

Sometimes, Quests can be Boosted, and will grant much more XP than normal, for instance the 3x Bonus Quest. This triples the normal amount of XP on offer, but will reset back to normal after players complete one Quest. Addtionally, the $19.99 Arclight Booster shop item will further enhance XP gain by 20% permanently on the account. But because Quests are repeatable, casual players can level up just fine by grinding out a few more matches.
