Fortnite is set to get yet another Star Wars crossover in honor of Star Wars day. Through the years, Fortnite has had some great crossovers, and the collaborations focused around Star Wars have been some of the most exciting. These Star Wars collaborations have become a bit of a tradition for Fortnite, so there are some things that players can naturally expect from the upcoming event.
The reveal of Star Wars coming to Fortnite on May 3 is still fresh news with few details, but past events and leaks can give a decent idea of what the game has in store for players. The event will begin where the game’s Avatar: The Last Airbender‘s event ends, immediately launching players into another major crossover.
New Fortnite Item Shop Feature Leaked
A popular Fortnite leaker says that a significant change is coming to the Item Shop with Fortnite’s Star Wars event, and possibly sooner.
Rumors About Fortnite’s New Star Wars Event
As of now, there isn’t any concrete evidence about what will be included in Fortnite‘s Star Wars event, but dataminers have been working hard to find as much information as possible. Although Fortnite leaks are just speculation, they are sometimes proven to be true, and the leaks surrounding the Star Wars event promise some fun additions to the game. Just last month, leaks revealing the Star Wars event hit the internet, proving that some of these leaks actually hold weight.
New Skins
The various Star Wars crossovers featured in Fortnite have always brought something different compared to the last collaboration, but the one thing that has remained constant is the introduction of new skins. Last year, Anakin Skywalker made his Fortnite debut, and it’s likely that new characters will finally get the honor of becoming a Fortnite skin. Rumors have suggested that a new Leia skin and a vehicle cosmetic inspired by the Mandalorian might be making their way into the game.
Lightsabers
Current Fortnite leaks are also suggesting that lightsabers will be making a comeback. As one of the most iconic weapons in movie history, lightsabers in Fortnite have brought some incredibly fun combat to the battle royale game. From Luke Skywalker to Mace Windu, some of the most well known lightsabers from the franchise have made the rounds in the game. Although the leaks haven’t specified whether the returning lightsabers belong to major characters or not, a Star Wars day celebration just wouldn’t feel complete without the weapon.
Additions to Fortnite’s New Modes
So far, there is only a short teaser trailer revealing the event, but it does at least give some insight into what’s to come once May 3 hits. The trailer made it clear that the Star Wars event wouldn’t just be coming to the battle royale mode, but other modes as well.
- Battle Royale
- LEGO Fortnite
- Fortnite Festival
Thanks to the addition of LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival that were introduced at the beginning of Chapter 5, this Star Wars event is set to be the biggest yet for Fortnite. There has already been speculation about Chewbacca coming to LEGO Fortnite, thanks to the official LEGO Twitter account stoking the fires of the rumor mill. Star Wars’ iconic music could also make for some must-play tracks within Fortnite Festival.
Chapter 5 of Fortnite has been filled with some great crossovers, and Star Wars is just the cherry on top. With only a few weeks until Fortnite‘s newest Star Wars event goes live, only time will tell what exciting new features the crossover will bring. The potential to live out one’s Jedi and Sith fantasies again is thrilling, giving fans a great reason to mark down May 3 on their calendars.
