In addition to a massive open world filled with new enemies to fight and bosses to conquer, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree offers players new weapons, armor sets, and incantations to customize fresh new builds for the DLC.

One of these is the Wrath from Afar Incantation, hidden in a completely optional area that’s quite hard to get to and very easy to miss. Here is where to find it.

An Erdtree incantation discovered in the realm of shadow. When the Elden Ring was shattered, the people of the realm of shadow felt it too—and feared it as a sign of the Erdtree’s wrath.

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Wrath from Afar is a new Incantation of the Erdtree Incantation spell category. When cast, it creates a sphere of golden light that travels very quickly to a the target and explodes in a blast. The shockwave has a moderate AoE that can hit groups of enemies clumped together. It’s best used in Faith builds with the Erdtree Seal (there is no seal that currently boosts Erdtree Incantations but the Erdtree Seal is overall the best choice for pure Faith builds).

The Wrath from Afar Incantation costs 18 FP to cast, and can be charged for greater potency. To equip Wrath from Afar, you must have 1 Memory Slots available.

Fires a golden shockwave that knocks back nearby foes. Charging increases the size of the shockwave.

Where To Find Wrath from Afar Incantation Location

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Wrath from Afar Incantation can be found in the rafters at the very top of the Specimen Storehouse, accessible from the Storehouse, Loft Site of Grace. To get to this location, players will have to first reach the Storehouse Back Section Site of Grace. This section of the Storehouse is not reachable from the inside; you will need to find an alternative entrance from the Church District. Here is what you need to do:

Fast travel to the Highroad Cross Site of Grace in Scadu Altus. Head east to find the Moore Ruins. Look for a small cave entrance in the middle of the ruins that leads to Bonny Village.

From Bonny Village, take the northeast path over the wooden bridge until you reach Bridge Leading to the Village Site of Grace. Follow the road going north, and you’ll reach the Church District Highroad. Northeast of here is the Church District Entrance Site of Grace.

Jump over the water and use the rooftops as walkways to reach the large church building (marked in the screenshot above). Jump down into the hole in the roof and land on the large archway. Jump across the next gap and down into the tunnel. Follow the tunnel, avoiding the Fire Knights until you see a path to the left. Keep following it to reach an elevator that leads to the Storehouse, Back Section Site of Grace.

Directly in front of this Site of Grace, you’ll see a ladder leading upward. On the next floor, take the stairway going up again until you’re in a room full of bookcases. There will be a hole in the wall to the right, hidden behind one of these bookcases. Follow the wooden walkway outside to reach the Storehouse, Loft Site of Grace. There will be an elevator in front of you. Enter it to finally reach the rafters at the very top. As soon as you step off the elevator, you’ll notice a purple item on the large cogwheel in front of you. This is the Wrath from Afar incantation.

Pay special attention to the bats hanging from the ceiling. Their screech attack can push you off.

To reach it, turn left and follow the rafters to the ladder leading to the next section. Turn around, and you’ll see the cogwheel in the distance. Walk carefully along the narrow path to reach the section above it. Drop down and claim the Wrath from Afar Incantation.
