As you traverse the forest in Wizard of Legend 2, you’ll eventually reach one of several elemental bosses. Each of them wields powerful variants of Arcana from that element, requiring players to learn their patterns and mix aggression with caution if they hope to bring them down.

One such boss is Thunder Ace Voltran, master of Lightning spells in Wizard of Legend 2. Voltran is fast and deadly, with a mix of AOE attacks that allow him to deal a ton of damage at any range. Voltran is an excellent example of the Lightning Element’s greatest strengths, so taking him down will be quite the challenge.

How to Beat Thunder Ace Voltran in Wizard of Legend 2

Understanding Thunder Ace Voltran’s moveset is crucial to beating him, so let’s look at his attacks:

How to Avoid

Voltran swings his arms, creating target lines that become electrified a moment later. He swings one arm, then the other, and then swings both together.

Avoid this attack by dashing as the lines are electrified and, if possible, move in front or directly behind him when he fires the third. This will leave you in a safe cone between the final lightning blasts and give you an opening to counterattack.

Voltran dashes away from you, then spins and dashes back towards you, creating orbital lightning disks around him.

when he dashes away, wait a moment and then dash away from your current position twice so you aren’t in range of the disks. If you have a ranged Arcana, fire it at him while he’s using the disks, since he can’t move while using them.

Voltran spins and launches into the air, before creating multiple target zones that get struck with lightning a moment after appearing. After several clusters of lightning strikes, a larger target zone will appear and Voltran will dive down on that position in a flash of lightning.

Once the target zones start appearing, dash out of them and into any open space you can see. Repeat this until the large circle appears, dash out of it, then turn around and blast him while he takes a moment to recover.

Voltran creates a target line then quickly dashes along it in a flash of lightning, repeating two more times.

Dash to the side the moment a line appears, then repeat two more times. This is one of Voltran’s fastest attacks and the hardest to dodge, so it might take a few tries to get the timing down. After Voltran’s third dash there’s a brief opening to attack, but unless you’ve got a ranged attack, or you ended up right next to him, you’re unlikely to have the time to take advantage of it.

Your goal in this fight is to be aggressive enough to fill the stun gauge (which will deplete over time if you take too long between attacks), but without being so aggressive that Voltran catches you with his attacks. This is a delicate dance that takes a little practice to get down, but if you attack in the openings after each of his attacks and don’t get greedy, you should be able to stun him.

Once stunned, you can unload on Voltran with every damaging spell you have and drain as much of his health bar as possible before he recovers. Rinse and repeat, he’ll be down before you know it.
