World of Warcraft Buffs Dragonflight Legendary Weapon Drop Rates

World of Warcraft recently buffed the drop rate for Fyr’alath, the Dream Render – Patch 10.2’s Legendary weapon – but also seemingly did the same for 10.1’s Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy. Though the exact drop rates are still a mystery, it seems like players can eventually get a 100% chance to obtain these rare World of Warcraft items via bad luck protection.

In Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, World of Warcraft introduced Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy, a Legendary weapon for Evokers. Patch 10.2 added Fyr’alath, the Dream Render, Dragonflight’s second Legendary weapon, which included a tangible bad luck protection system in the form of Embers of Fyr’alath.

On February 20, World of Warcraft improved Fyr’alath’s bad luck protection to make obtaining it less frustrating. World of Warcraft community manager Kaivax explained this significant increase would apply retroactively to all Embers of Fyr’alath, whether or not they had been consumed. However, as World of Warcraft players looked at the files to see exactly how big this increase was, they discovered that it seemed like Nasz’uro’s invisible bad luck protection was quietly increased as well.

Fyr’alath and Nasz’uro Should be Easier to Get in WoW

• Fans discovered files that suggest Nasz’uro’s invisible bad luck protection may have also been buffed.
• If this data is accurate, Fyr’alath will have a 100% drop rate on the 7th Mythic or 15th Heroic Fyrakk kill, and Nasz’uro on the 7th Mythic or 41st Heroic Sarkareth kill.

The item drop plots Wowhead believes represent Fyr’alath and Nasz’uro suggest this increase will make the bad luck protection for both weapons on all difficulties nearly twice as effective. According to the data, fans should even be able to secure Fyr’alath or Nasz’uro after seven successful clears of their raids on Mythic difficulty, or 15 and 41 respectively on Heroic.

It is important to note that this data was extrapolated from a lot of factors, and it may not be completely accurate – especially regarding Nasz’uro, World of Warcraft‘s most recent Legendary meme. That said, evidence seems to point towards a connection, and it makes sense for both Legendary items to have their drop chances increased, rather than just Fyr’alath. Even so, players can’t know for certain unless World of Warcraft confirms it.

Fans have grown increasingly frustrated with the drop chances for these rare items. While some World of Warcraft raid teams have seen multiple Legendaries drop at once, others have gone weeks with no weapons in sight. Hopefully, this drop rate increase will let their Legendary hunts end for not only Fyr’alath, but Nasz’uro as well.
