World of Warcraft just revealed that dreamtalon pets can dance along with players who summon them. This adorable secret interaction can be seen with any of the four dreamtalon battle pets players can acquire in Guardians of the Dream, the most recent World of Warcraft content update.
Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream, takes players into the Emerald Dream–a whimsical realm full of fantastic creatures not seen on Azeroth. Many of these creatures can be tamed by Hunters in World of Warcraft, unlocked by Druids as shapeshifting forms, or acquired as mounts or battle pets by players of any class. One such creature is the dreamtalon, a beast that looks like a mixture between a raptor and a tiger.
World of Warcraft Fans Aren’t Happy About the January Trading Post Reward
World of Warcraft fans aren’t impressed with the free reward players get for completing their Traveler’s Log tasks for the month of January.
However, on its official Twitter account, World of Warcraft showed off a secret interaction with the baby dreamtalon pets. While one of the little critters is summoned, players can use the /dance emote while targeting the creature to have the dreamtalon do a little dance with them. Though the short video shows a World of Warcraft Druid shapeshifted into a large dreamtalon–which does the same dance as its smaller counterpart–players can get these adorable pets to dance regardless of their class, race, or appearance.
Dreamtalon Battle Pets in World of Warcraft
- Elmer and Snoots
- Exchanged for one Seedbloom each, earned by completing the Dreamseed planting weekly quest from Sylvia Whisperbloom.
- Random Drop from Pump Dreamy Bounties spawned from blue Dreamseeds.
- Slumbertooth
- Pale Slumbertooth
- Caught in the Emerald Dream, but only visible while affected by the Friendsurge Defenders toy bought from Celestine of the Harvest, a Dreamsurge event vendor.
Unfortunately, the dreamtalon battle pet only dances for a few seconds each time a player uses the emote, so fans will have to be quick if they want to take a video or screenshot. Even so, players got a kick out of this adorable detail, with some not even knowing pets could have interactions. According to the popular WoW collector fansite warcraftpets, 198 companion pets have special interactions in the game so far, so fans might already have a few other cute surprises in their collections.
Gamers who enjoy collecting battle pets won’t have to wait long to encounter even more. World of Warcraft recently revealed its roadmap for 2024, which includes a release date window for The War Within. The new expansion adds four zones to the game full of new critters to collect, so pet enthusiasts will have plenty to do in The War Within when it releases next summer.
