World of Warcraft is full of items, some fantastical, others a little more comedic, and the Halfhill Farmer’s Backpack certainly falls into the latter. This back piece comes with a chicken perched atop a decorative backpack that players can earn during the MoP Remix event, though it does require a few steps to unlock, namely earning some achievements.

Some of these aren’t very clear, so to help players get this creative piece of backwear, we’ve put together this guide with details on how to earn the Halfhill Farmer’s Backpack in WoW MoP Remix.

How To Unlock The Halfhill Farmer’s Backpack

To unlock this cosmetic back piece, players must complete a few achievements in the MoP Remix mode, all involving Pandaria’s Valley of Four Winds zone.

The primary achievement that unlocks the Halfhill Farmer’s Backpack is called Valley of Four Winds, and this requires players to complete two out of a possible three achievements in the game. These are Campaign: Valley of the Four Winds, Tour Valley of the Four Winds, and Looking for Group: Valley of the Four Winds. Players only need to earn two of these three in order to complete the main achievement and get the item. Below, we have included details on each achievement, so players know what to do for each and can find the items, quests, and content required to unlock this cosmetic.

How to Complete Campaign: Valley of the Four Winds

This achievement is simple and to the point. All players need to do is complete the storylines in the Valley of Four Winds, which includes the following chapters:

  • Thunderfoot Fields
  • Mudmug’s Place
  • Nesingwary’s Safari
  • Chen’s Masterpiece
  • The Stormstout Brewery
  • The Hidden Master

One World of Warcraft fan notices something familiar about one of the new Infinite Dragon vendor NPCs found in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria.

Most of these will be denoted by the main quest icon, which has a small banner-like icon with a yellow exclamation mark. The only one that does not is the Nesingwary’s Safari questline, which is started with the Mushan Mastery quest.

This will be located at the coordinates (16.0, 82.6) from the NPC Hemet Nesingwary Jr. Players will unlock this as they progress the other main questlines, so we suggest completing the rest of them first, and once they are done, you’ll be able to go and complete this last quest chain and get the achievement.

Looking for Group: Valley of the Four Winds

This achievement requires players to complete two tasks in this zone: the dungeon Stormstout Brewery and defeating the world boss Salyis’s Warband.

Both can be seen on the map, so players should have no issue finding them. However, we recommend taking on the Warband at a higher level since world bosses tend to be powerful enemies, even in MoP Remix, and typically are done with other players.

Tour Valley of the Four Winds

This achievement requires a bit more work than the other two, as it has multiple objectives players need to complete.

For this achievement, players will need to complete three other achievements, each involving different objectives, such as killing rare enemies, discovering the entire map of the zone, and finding treasures. Since there are a few things to work through, we will take them one at a time, starting with the first achievement, Explore Valley of the Four Winds. This achievement requires players to uncover the whole zone map, which can be done quickly thanks to Dragonriding. Simply fly around the whole zone until all the areas are discovered.

The second achievement is Hidden Treasure: Valley of the Four Winds, which requires players to find one of two treasures in the Valley of the Four Winds and The Veiled Stair. These are the Virmen Treasure Cache or The Hammer of Folly. These can be found at the following locations:

  • Virmen Treasure Cache – (23.8, 28.5) Valley of the Four Winds
  • The Hammer of Folly – (75.1, 76.4) The Veiled Stair

Lastly, there is the Elusive Foes: Valley of the Four Winds, which has players killing three of the eight rare enemies found in the zone. These are found at the following coordinates:

  • Blackhoof – (37.8, 60.6)
  • Jonn-Dar – (18.6, 77.6)
  • Nasra Spothide – (88.6, 18.0)
  • Sele’na – (57.6, 33.8)
  • Bonobos – (16.8, 35.2)
  • Nal’lak the Ripper – (11.2, 55.0)
  • Salyin Warscout – (71.0, 52.2)
  • Sulik’shor – (37.0, 25.6)

Remember that these are rough coordinates, and enemies will spawn around the mentioned area. Players can also look for the star icon on their mini-map when they are in the correct location.
